I feel like, as a minority (in many ways), I often hear that my opinions or situation is "interesting." Every once in awhile, you need to hear "I understand."

hell no!

i prefer the conversation if we don't agree, that way it is interesting. I love learning new things, so if someone doesn't agree with me, then that means i am going to learn! or hear the same rhetoric again

ever notice how if you agree with a person on everything, the conversation goes stale after a few minutes?

I like having people whose opinions I respect agree with me. It's a confirmation of the validity of my position and the soundness of my reasoning. But people who hold opinions I don't have a lot of respect for? I don't much care whether they agree with me or not.

I think we all like it to a certain extent when people agree with us and also dislike it when people disagree with us, but i also like when i can have a friendly disagreement with someone so that no matter what is said and how fervent we are with our differing opinions it doesn't have a negative affect between us.

Agreement = yummy, lol! Actually, I hate it when I know for a fact that they're wrong, but otherwise disagreement is a very good thing.
