when they ask me a rude question...ex...How much are your house payments?..or when was the last time you had sex????...honest to God, i felt sooo embarrassed by those questions!!!...is it alright to just say at WORK OR ON A DATE..."Wow!..That is rude of you!"...(so they get the hint???)...i just said.."I cannot answer that"...and continued talking...(but i was HORRIFIED)....I am nice, that is why people ask...that is what i am told....do i have to get firmer???

All you have to say is that is too personal for you to share and leave it at that. If it is at work or a date, that is certainly the only way to respond. No one has the right to ask straight out personal questions regardless of the social or work setting. You just have to get better at your response. A very polite, I'm not comfortable sharing that information is fine. Change the subject to something you can feel comfortable with and eventually people will get it.

It is rude to ask personal questions unless you're a real good friend and have that kind of relationship. I would simply tell whomever is asking that I don't answer questions like that, change the subject gracefully and let it go. If they persist or badger because you will not answer, remind them that it is rude enough to ask, but to have you explain yourself is ruder still.

Some people live in their own world and have no clue about others. So just stand firm and let those people know how you feel. It might take a few million times but they will get it and if they do not, then they do not matter it. ( move on)

If you are uncomfortable answering someones question like that- just tell them. say- that is none of your business and I dont feel like discussing that with you. Easy.

just say you dont want to talk about that and if they talk about sex say well are you going to help me in that dept.
