bored.com had this link where you can make different "wacky projects". i clicked it and found a link for wine. i have three questions:

1. has anyone tried this?

2. if so, what kind of container did you use and how big/small was your hole for it/how did you put a hole in the container

3. does this wine made from this link make you drunk?

okay....more than three questions but i AM curious.

Looking over the recipe, you will get a wine like substance, but I doubt you'll get more than drunk and sick from drinking it.

If you're serious about wine making, you can get an actual wine making kit for about $60.00. You'll end up with a much better product.

I have tried this one you mentioned and it is okay for a beginner. I did make some changes though.

I used a smoked barrel (oak) or you can use a clear big bottle with one hole on top.

Follow the recipe as it is called; let fermentation begin and then transfer into the container of your choice (make sure it is cleaned thought) I melt hot wax over the cork for sealing and then place them on a angle facing down so the cork is always wet. This should also be done in a dark cool room and can take up to 3 months.

Its fun but trail and error. Keep notes on everything as far ad the process you used and temperatures etc. and yes if it is made right you can definitely get drunk on it followed by a huge headache.

Good luck, be patient and turn the wine barrel, glass whatever you used 1/3 around so the wine gets mixed and the residuals will be left on the bottom.

Making alcohol is not hard at all. Making good wine is a little different story. You can get a good start on making wine by buying a starter kit. It will pretty much have everything you need and some companies' wine juices will make very good wine is as little as 4 weeks.

Try eckraus.com or Beirhouse International. May sound expensive initially but the cost of wine after the initial equipment expense is about $3.25 per bottle.

There are tons of websites out there for wine making that are probably much better than bored.com.

I frequent this site for beer making.
