I think the Church of Latter Day Saint's televison commercials are tacky and in poor taste. It's like their selling some kind of product. In the same category as all day protection deodorant or feminine hygiene products as you can be sure of this. This is real and good and works, buy it, call us for a free bible and bible study. So tacky

OK, lets take this one at a time:
1."Then when they send the missionarys to your home they tell you how the Bible is incorrect and the book of mormon is the truth. "
Mormons don't teach that the bible is incorrect, I use the KJV.
2."And you have to be a mormon to go to heaven. "
Mormons believe that "All men will be saved through the atonement of Jesus Christ."
3."And you have to accept that the book of mormon is true or you wont go to heaven."
Again, not the case.
4. "Do you think they are lieing to you so they can suck you into their cult. "
We aren't lying and we are not a cult. Unless you define it as a group of religious people. Then we all belong to cults.
5."Its funny how they, and the Jw's have to use the Bible to suck you in. What do they have with no Bible? "
I don't know about the JW's, but I use my bible everyday and a lot in Sunday School every Sunday. Sounds like you have been listening to the "haters".

1. You've never seen our commercials that say we will send you a free Book of Mormon?
2. NO missionary has EVER said that the Bible is incorrect!
3. No, you don't have to be Mormon to go to heaven.
4. We don't want to "suck you into (our) cult", not with THAT attitude! We want EVERYONE to CAREFULLY and PRAYERFULLY read, study and ponder the Book of Mormon, pray about it, take as long as it takes, to receive the witness that it is the Word of God, just like the Bible. If you can't do that, then we don't WANT you to join our church!
And, just for the record, one of the reasons I joined the LDS church is because of how BIBLICAL it is.

The Mormons absolutely believe in the Bible. Not sure where you are getting your information. The Book of Mormon is another book on which their religion is based. They consider Joseph Smith, the writer of the Book of Mormon, to have been a prophet. It is a shame that some people accuse the Mormon religion of being a cult. When one considers that their church is dedicated to taking care of their members and providing a solid family base, it is difficult to place them in the same category with Jim Jones and David Koresh and their followers. It is sad how misinformed people are regarding other religions.

Well, clearly any group that claims to be based on the Bible, would use the Bible. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, if someone wants to know Bible based beliefs, why wouldn't they want it to come from the Bible?

personally i find it offensive that you call mormons a CULT im sorry youve had bad experiances on the subject but joseph smith said that if you follow your OWN religion in all its standards than you can make it to heaven i think alot of people take it over the top i think the religion is beautiful and all the things in it make sense but thats just my opinion try reading the book of mormon and telling me that mormons are a cult
have you read it? i dont think so
and yes we beleive in the bible we just believe that the book of mormon is a continuance of the work of jesus
ps: WE ARE NOT A CULT!!!

The Bible the missionaries are referring to is YOUR Holy Bible, not THEIR holy bible. You see, they've made revisions from the original King James version that we are familiar with... although they call it something else. So the bible they refer to is their "personalized" bible that does not conflict with the Book of Mormon. Oh, and they've made changes in THAT book, too... but they are supposed to "ignore" all previous versions, as if they never existed.
They are not lying to you when they talk about their bible and their Book of Mormon, but be aware, that is it not the same King James as the original one the rest of the world uses. That's why it is important, when buying a King James version of the Bible, that it is NOT put out by a Mormon publisher.
The JW's also have made changes to the Bible to create their own version of it to "match" with their beliefs. (See websites below)
And people accuse Christians with such things, and we do not. That is why we have to deal with so many accusations about conflicts and inaccuracies. WE have accepted the Scriptures as they have been handed down to us. We have re-TRANSLATED them, but the CONTENT has not changed.
Have a blessed day!

Well Joe! I see the Devil standing behind you, and he is laughing his@ss off at your gullibility, in falling right in line with what he wants! Congratulations, You Are on his team, and doing a bang up job!
Any time you belittle another person's faith, you show exactly what the Devil wants everyone to see about Christianity! Some don't practice what they preach! And make the rest of them look bad! and I don't mean the LDS, either!
Well, how about it mainline Christians! Why aren't you true to what you say about yourselves?
The LDS are always consistent! What is your excuse?

They're a cult. Cults often use deceit to get more members. Mormons specifically are basically nothing more than a nice social club who have strange beliefs. Believing their doctrine does not make you right with God, but rather gets God even more angry.
