Most likely she has thrush, an oral yeast infection- but it could also be a variation of the herpes virus that causes cold sores. They both make the inside of the mouth and tongue very sore and sensitive, which is why she is rather whinny. There really isn't much you can do on your own except to keep pushing her to drink liquids, eat and rest. She will probably prefer soft, bland foods, and liquids either cold or room temperature, but not citrus juices because the acidity will burn her mouth. As long as she will drink and eat a little, and isn't running a fever, you can work at just making her comfy as you can until Monday when you can call her pediatrician. They can prescribe medication to help with either cause. In the meantime, keep her drinking and eating utensils separate, and don't be kissing on the mouth or letting her kiss, as it can spread the infection to others.

It sounds like canker sores. She probably either bit her tongue or ate something that caused them. It's not exactly an allergic reaction, but in some people it's caused by acidic foods, like oranges/o.j., tomatoes, etc. If she's eating ok I'd wait until Monday to call the Doctor. And then I'd only do it if they don't look any better yet. The only other explanation for the sores I can really think of is that she might have burned her tongue on something? Keep an eye on the sores and if they start to look infected, then you can take her to the ER. If they're canker sores they should be gone or mostly healed in just a few days. Good luck!!

Could be an allergic reaction to something or maybe thrush, try giving her yogurt if she will eat it. That will help if it is thrush and also coat her tounge, as long as she is eating well i wouldnt worry about it too much. If she does start running fever and it is hurting too much for her to eat then I would get her to see a dr. good luck.

hand, foot and mouth disease or thrush is all i can think of but i'm sure there are other possibilities. neither is real concerning but can be uncomfortable. if you have an urgent care in your area, have it checked if she isn't better by tomorrow
