Go to the Michigan Insurance Department website. All you have to do is pass the test and pay the fee.

For a Property & Casualty License you must take a 40 hour prelicensing course and pass the state exam and then apply for the license which is $10. It is the same for Life & Health, i.e. a 40 hour prelicensing course, state exam and application.
