He didn't say a thing about sacrifice for sin at the Sermon on the Mount, and he didn't say anything about sacrifice for sin when he returned to the apostles after the Crucifixion.

In fact, just prior to the Crucifixion he inferred in Luke 23:31 that the tree was about to dry up! Does that sound like good news for mankind to you?

So, did Jesus Christ know about the "Gospel of Jesus Christ" that Paul would later preach in his name?

You've made a good start of it. You're right that Jesus never preached anything resembling substitutionary atonement. He did preach about becoming "one with the Father." He had an awful lot to say about how we treat one another, especially those society deems as outcasts or inferiors. He certainly preached that forgiveness is key.

I won't get into Paul's teachings because that's a whole discussion in itself. But suffice it to say that Jesus preached a gospel of Love. Anything that seems to contradict that, is probably in need of reinterpretation.

Peace to you.

Of course He did. He made several references to the fact the Gospel would be proclaimed in all the earth:
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:14

"I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."
Matthew 26:13

He made numerous predictions of His impending death (Mark 8:3; 9:31; 10:33,34)
And He said this:
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45

After His resurrection He said this:

"He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" Luke 24:25,26

and this:

"He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."

"Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." "
Luke 24:44-49

Perhaps you might want to read through the New Testament just one more time.

I know you love that gospel enigma website, but the false dichotomy between Paul is Jesus is based on Augustinian theology, and not on the actual writings of the Apostle Paul. And why do you suppose that Jesus said that he would give his life as a ransom for many?

What is with you anti- Paul people ? Are you afraid of grace by faith? So John is wrong also when he says Jesus (I John 1:7 ) "That the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins".
The whole Old Testament is a shadow of what Jesus was to do on the cross. From the Passover Lamb to Psalm 22 which tells the crucifixtion through His eyes 1000 years before it happened,to Isaiah 53.
What's up?

Gospel is Greek for "good news." The good news of Jesus Christ is that we don't have to die spiritually but can now live forever because of what Jesus did. And yes, He knew He came to earth to die. He told Mary it wasn't time yet for miracles and the apostles it wasn't time to enter Jerusalem, etc... He also knew that He came to establish the Kingdom of Heaven through the Holy Spirit He was going to give to believers upon His death and subsequent resurrection.

No, people made that up after He left. He preached the gospel of the kingdom of God which is no where near the same thing. this is exactly why christians have a form of godliness but deny the power. This is also why they will hear from Jesus "depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you".

Could you be any more wrong?
Read the 15th of Acts where the apostles at Jerusalem full approved of Paul and his ministry.

NO, Paul changed Christianity to lure people into converting to Christianity, who at that time Otherwise wouldn't. Jesus WANTED the Laws implemented!! He came to PREACH God's laws not to abolish them. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.

If the Lord of creation allowed himself to be nailed to a tree so that he could save some you can be sure he knew that the some would hear the truth.

Christ knew everything, for He was God in the flesh. He knew what the outcome was before He even came here. Learn something about the word of God before you make a fool of yourself.
