We are a low income family and I've looked on Ebay and some of that stuff is not at all cheap. Is there somewhere on the internet where I can buy nice, fairly used, good condition cheap clothing. My kids are in desperate need for the coming season.

I don't know where you live exactly but in cali and also in texas there is a store Fallas Parades very beautiful clothes most of them starting at around 4.99 and they don't look all extra cheap and put together I am also a low income parent so I feel ur pain and also target has very reasonable prices for infants and toddlers if thats in your neck of the woods.

Well, unfortunately you're not going to find much online, IMO. The problem is even if you find good deals, shipping is insane.

You should totally check garage sales, consignment shops, etc. as said above. Also, someone mentioned community-wide garage sales. Another great place is a military post. Of course, I have no idea if this applies to you. But I'm close to one and they have a huge garage sale the first weekend of the month. They are awesome!

I agree with Grandma of 2. I find the best things at yard/garage sales. Alot of times in my area, small towns/communities/neighborhoods will have "community garage sales" you just park and walk. Most of the items are under a dollar. You can find alot of good bargains there.

The Goodwill stores or salvation army is good too. I like to sew, and I find alot of old prom dresses there cheap just for the nice material. I can make new/updated things out of them.

Besides the places others have suggested, Walmart is a good place to find cheap clothes for kids. They have shirts and pants for $3.88 and they've always held up for us. Also, check out the clearance sections of the Gap and Children's place. You have to be lucky and hit them just right, but they sometimes have really cute things under $8.

Ever since my kids were young I have shopped at yard sales and Salvation Army. If you take you time, you will find a lot of nice clothes. My daughter is always dressed in the best clothes and no one would ever know that some outfits didn't cost over $5.00.

You can also try to look at Craigslist. They might have some used clothing. If not, they might have a listing of yard sales in your area.

For new clothing, I like to shop at Target. They tend to have very good sale clothing. I was able to find my two year old some shirts for $1.24 each. Also some pants for $1.10 each. Just keep going there alot, and and watch their clearance racks.

Goodwill stores are GREAT for finding things gently used for almost all ages, you just have to make sure you go through them all. Look up "Children's consignment shops" plus your local area in a Google search and see if anything shows up that is local.

You can try Freecycle or Craigslist. Both sites have worked for me. Freecycle is exactly that free and people give away really good stuff. Craigslist is good too, I've gotten many good things from there (including a car). Good luck!
