ENGLAND OUTLAWS CATHOLIC TEACHING
Catholic teachers in Britain won’t be able to present Catholic dogma in Catholic schools anymore because of a new non-discrimination law.

By Joanna Bogle
Register Correspondent

LONDON — Britain has a new law banning Catholic schools from teaching Catholic morals [...].

Under the new Sexual Orientation Regulations, it will be illegal for a teacher in any school, including a Catholic school, to state that homosexual activity is morally wrong, and that this is a teaching that should be accepted as true. A teacher could be prosecuted if a pupil were able to claim that, by teaching the sinfulness of homosexual activity, the teacher had discriminated against him and caused him to feel hurt or humiliated.

Christians, whether or not you agree with Catholic teachings, you should be frightened by developments like this. Did anyone ever read this article?

We as Christians are going to be bombarded with such nonsense. We need to get together as brothers and sisters of faith and try to vote for our beliefs as a whole, regardless of which church we go to.

I had an article about this and it was lost when my old computer got fried during an electrical outage a couple weeks ago. It is not only in England they want to do that here in the USA also. So much to the point certain verses would be removed from the bible and that if caught preaching or teaching that homosexuality is a sin and abomination that person or party could and would be prosecuted. it is very wrong what they are trying to do, censor God

Thats so messed up. Catholic schools have the right to teach what they want to and if people have a problem with what it teaches than they can go to a public school. Things like this are alarming it makes you wonder what they'll do next to try and silence the church.

Okay, as an American, I have SERIOUS reservations about this. I mean it's a CATHOLIC school for goodness sake! They can't teach their own dogma??

While I applaud the effort, if a child were to encounter this, the basic answer would be to take the child out of Catholic school and leave the school alone.

Something is wrong about this.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is allowed in England because they do not have a separation of church and state like we have in the USA. It's not like it's a private school as we know it. They also have Church of England schools where this will probably happen too, if it hasn't already. This is why I'm grateful for having separation of church and state. Let's hope and pray it stays that way!!

God Bless.

I live in Britain and this is a huge step out of the dark ages.
It disgusts me the way people like you go on about schools' right to teach whatever dogma they want - what about the kids' right to be given the best possible opportunity to think for themselves?
What on earth does sexuality have to do with morality anyway?
People like you bring hate into the world and you shouldn't be allowed to pass it on to the next generation.
