He's taking it slow, which is a good thing, but I would say you could expect to see him run at least a limited schedule by 2009. Then maybe full time in 2010. I'm sure he'll run at least 1 full year in Bush.

Jeffrey Earnhardt to run full Busch East schedule, maybe some Busch Series races
Jeffrey Earnhardt, a development driver for Dale Earnhardt Inc. and grandson of the late Dale Earnhardt, said he plans to run a full schedule in the Busch East series next season and hopes to run some Busch Series events.
“I don’t want to move too quick and jump in something I’m not ready for. At the same time, I don’t want to move to slow and miss opportunities,” said Earnhardt, 18.
“I think everybody is pretty happy with how I’ve ran this year.”

It takes a bit more than the Earnhardt name to get into cup and stay there. He will have to win a Busch title and run well in cup from the start or he will be ground up and put away.

I can't believe he'll be in Cup in '09. He's still very young and has raced only one season in the Busch East. And even there another youngster named Joey Lagano (Connecticut's own) is dominating with Joe Gibbs equipment. Maybe 2011 or '12 but he's going to have to show something whenver he makes the Busch Series. But of course, just as Paul Menard showed, good financial backing, not Busch Series results can get you to the Cup Series.

Jeffery is a better driver than Jr, but he won't be full time cup in 2009. Look for him to run a limited number of cup races in 09 and maybe full time in 10.
Joey Lagano can flat out drive! If Stewart doesnt extend his contract, Lagano will be the new driver of the 20.

finished time sprint cup-No. He might nevertheless be the owner of DEI, and that in the time of all probability might have survived the financial downturn better than teresa dealt with it. Dale replaced right into a driving force and a businessman, he knew a thank you to get agencies to sponsor certainly one of his autos, so he might have had no concern with that. yet back to the query, no he would not be utilizing finished time, or in all probability area time (He could have been 60 this 365 days). Now he would desire to have finished what lots of the others do, run national or the automobiles area time. extra beneficial than in all probability nonetheless, he might have settled right down to easily be an proprietor (and a dang good one at that).
