It's never a good idea to go cheap. Go for value. There are less expensive alternatives, but nothing tells it any better than a rose!

(Think about it. Ever want something named brand & get something else? It probably didn't feel as nice or good. A single rose could go for less than $2 and it's definitely the best single flower ever.)

Cheap Crush, Cheap Date, Cheap Flower. Just look at the price tag. I'm sure she'll be impressed. Later, you can treat her to anything on the value menu.

Don't EVER give a girl a carnation....cuz she knows that u obviously didn't try to pick one out. Give her a gerber daisy, or a single rose with some babys breath(the lil white flowers that u c with most roses).

Go to the dollar store and buy her a fake flower. And, yes I know it says fake. But it's going to last forever is the point! You can say something witty and sweet like, "I brought you this flower because it'll last forever...just like I want us to last forever" or something. I'm sure you can come up with something better but, you get my drift? It may be fake, but it had great symbolism.

I have to agree with your first answer - A sunflower. It is beautiful and unusual. Don't go with carnations - They used to mask the smell of death with carnations before modern day procedure. The backstory on it is just too morbid.

Well, it depends on when. Flowers tend get more expensive when nearing Valentine's day, but I'd say carnations

theyre almost anywhere, and theyre easy to take care of and dipose of as well.

Definitely daisies, sunflowers or wildflowers. Carnations are for when you're sick, roses are for all out love, and mums are for moms. Hee.

Shame on you, you have a crush on someone and you want to be cheap? How about a dandelion?

Pick a wildflower yourself, or go to a grocery store and see what's on sale. If she likes you, she won't care so much about what the type is.
