Nope, not Ramses 2. Or 1 or 3, even. Either someone's made a mistake or someone's telling porkies.

None drowned in the Red Sea... there's nothing written in Egyptian history that claims any such thing happened. There's nothing written in history about any of the plagues either.
The GMC - Biblical Scholars claim it is Ramses who was Pharoah during that time... it's where Disney got the idea to begin with. Maybe you should read up this kind of thing before assuming it's a Straw Man.

Well, if you have his mummy then maybe it was another one of them. They had like ramesses 1 to ramesses 12.
Or maybe he didn't drown, and sent his troups in.
Or maybe his body was fished out of the water and preserved. Who knows and who cares?

there were multiple dudes with the same name.
also, egyptians are known to erase history about kings they did not like.
so, there is someone at the bottom of red sea, but unfortunately that area is controlled by arabic / muslim countries and they will not allow a research to go through.
i wish they did - 'cause either he and his army is there, or something is wrong with the whole story. the only way to proove - let archeologists do their thingy....

The Pharoah that led his forces into the Red sea is un-named in the Bible. And yes, he drowned in the Red sea with his army. Ps. 136:10-15 says: "To the One striking down Egypt in their firstborn ones: For his loving-kindness is to time indefinite. And the One bringing Israel out of the midst of them: For his loving-kindness is to time indefinite; By a strong hand and by an arm stretched out: For his loving-kindness is to time indefinite; To the One severing the Red Sea into parts: For his loving-kindness is to time indefinite;
And who caused Israel to pass through the middle of it: For his loving-kindness is to time indefinite; And who shook off Phar′aoh and his military force into the Red Sea."

Very good.
You 1. Straw man. 0
The Bible never says it was Ramses who was pharaoh at the time. Where do you get your Biblical knowledge? The movie Prince of Egypt?
AND! Even if it did, it never says he led the charge. He could have been back at home.
