Well I bought some sheet sets today at Target and I tend to be in a comfort zone there that I didn't spend like at Macy's and yet I didn't go to something cheap like Family Dollar. So I was wondering though if they were of good quality and last.

Yeah I have a couple set of sheets that I bought when I moved out. I still use them, that was 1996.

Sheet sets are about the thread count, not where you buy them. Certainly there are sheets out there that you can buy that costs thousands, but you need to basically look at anything that is 400 thread count or above and you are going to get a comfortable sheet. It's about thread count. And no sheet should last forever. Washing and constant use require regular replacement. Just like pillows.

the answer to that is in the grade of the sheets you bought. How many threads per square inch? I know here in Australia Target is currently having a sale Queen size set for $99 (200 threads per square inch which is equal to some of Walmart's sheets) and you save $166. Well, I'll tell you I won't buy any sheets costing that much.....when I go home to the US I buy my sheets there and bring them back here with me -- quality is better and much less $ in the US

I have had good luck with the sheets and bedding at Target. I do a lot of shopping for home goods there and I have yet to have anything fall apart. I did buy some sheets from Walmart and fell apart after the first washing. I was disappointed, but I guess you can't expect much from Walmart.

I bought a comforter at Target and it has lasted me since March, so they are pretty good! And it probably depends on the brand of the sheets too.

The lower the thread count, the less comfortable your sheets will be and will not last as long. It depends - are they at least over 500 thread count?
