What were YOU doing while the child was on a porn site? In otherwords...where was the PARENTAL supervision while the child was online? Why weren't YOU doing YOUR job as a parent?

I never had to use those blocks on our family computer, all I did was password the internet connection and change the password daily. Oh and I kept an eye on what my daughter did on the internet when she was younger, I limited her use of the interenet as well...That's what is called parental supervision.

How old is he? My guess is that one of his classmates told him about something he could find on the internet unless he's been exposed to it somewhere else.

Discuss it with him and see what his reasons for this were. If it was curiosity, which it probably was, just explain to him that those sites are for adults and that he is not to use them, but talk to him about it all - what he saw, what he hoped to see, etc. If there was any other reason for his exploration of this site, still discuss it with him.

Was it just nude pictures or was it graphic? If just nude pictures I wouldn't say anything, but I would install a net nanny type program on your computer. If it was graphic, I'd sit him down, tell him what you found, tell him you know he's probably embarrassed, but it's ok, and ask him if he has any questions about it. Then put that net nanny on.

If it was really bad (bizarre, abnormal stuff), I think you should probably get the advice of a counsellor.

Children are curious little creatures. My brother did the same thing when he was around 12. My Dad did not want to embarrass him so he did not say anything. If you are really worried I suggest utilizing your internet filter or parental controls on your computer. Good Luck!

put on parental controls so he cant go to them again, hes a boy and all boys are naturaly curious, i would have a talk with him about it. and make sure you tell him those sites can give your computer viruses and he has to be careful of any sites he visits. you could also moniter what he does on the net, make him sit in the front room when he is on the computer,

Put up blocks on your computer and tell him that they cause viruses to your computer and buy him a magazine to look at... He's going to look at it nomatter what you do so at least make your computer safe from viruses and hackers and buy magazines and a special box to keep them in...

stop him. put up a child blocker.

porn sites are bad because they add pop ups to your computer and can even introduce viruses.
