For goodness sake, go to see a good private dentist and get your teeth sorted. You can have so much restoration work done these days, you should be able to have a very good result. Good luck.

many times the dentist will convince you that your teeth can be saved, but if you are paying out of pocket or just the fact that he IS getting paid to do what you ask, then he should do just that. I am 40 and my dentist refused to pull mine and give me a partial, I got the right side fixed, but the left side I am missing a tooth and the very back is an old broken root canal, he said he can do bridges, caps, and even veneers, but too costly for me- my teeth are not bad at all, they are just very sensative and though they do not appear with flaws, I have many fillings and cavities that exist.
given your age and discomfort I think you have more of an upper hand to get them. So I would say yes they will give you a new set if you want them. My dentist informed me if I ever did go through getting a partial, to try to save the bottoms at least, that the bottom plate is more difficult to get used to.

He won't give you new teeth, but he may be able to fix most of what is wrong with your old ones , & he may be able to make the front surfaces of the teeth that are visable when you smile look like that of a new set of teeth.

my boyfriend is a dentist and i think that it would depend on the state of your teeth...also are you reg with a NHS dentist? if you are on benifits you will recieve all treatment free..if not then it could be costly even on the nhs...perhaps they may just remove yout teeth and give you dentures. you should go for a check up and ask about the costs and options.

Your gums are most certainly going to be a mess. They are going to have to assess how much bone you have lost in your gums. It's possible that your gums might not be able to support dentures. What you describe sounds real bad. You may be in worse shape than you think. Sorry.

YOU WON'T KNOW THE FACTS UNTIL YOU SEE A DENTIST PERSONALLY AND GET ALL THE FACTS FOR YOUR CONDITION.
