1) immediate sources of money: babysitting, dog walking, doing chores or running errands for neighbors (e.g. grocery shopping, going to post office, light gardening, housecleaning)
2) good jobs for students: working in a library, working in a retail store (e.g. Borders, Old Navy), doing office work for a small business

Apply.
It sounds simplistic, but it's a numbers game. Apply for every part time job that you see and you'll be working within 2 weeks. The more applications you have out there, the better your chances of getting a job.
To find the jobs, look on the internet, look at your local newspaper (both hard copy and on the internet), go to job centers (unemployment offices). Also, talk to your neighbors, friends and family - let them know that you want to work. Ask for help in your goal of finding a job.
Starting now, dress for the job you want. You never know when you walk into a store not looking for a job, but your new job is waiting for you to as for it. Be polite. Share your dreams - people actually want to help you if they understand you.
You're probably just overwhelmed right now. Take a few of the steps I outlined, and you'll be good to go.
Good luck in your job search!

When I was in highschool I got a job at a grocery store as a produce girl. Lots of jobs like to hire after school part timers. You need to tell your potential employer what times you are available to work.
First start out by picking up an application, (walk around the mall they usually have lots of "help wanted" signs up.) introduce yourself when you pick it up and ask who you should talk to when you turn it in, sometimes you can get an interview on the spot. Be calm and bubbly, but not full of yourself. It usually takes 2-3 weeks before you get a paycheck, unless your working a job that gives tips. good luck!

try going to your local mall's website and clicking on the career sections....
careerbuilder.com
hotjobs.com (y!hotjobs)
also definantely pick up your local newspaper and check out the classifieds...there's a lot of people who look for high school/college students who can only work part time.
there should be a lot of places hiring like crazy...b/c it's the seasonal time of year..everybody hires for the holidays, even if they don't have a posted sign up..so make sure you call/ask

http://urlkiss.com/1l is a great way to make extra money. The site will ask you to complete surveys and offers and those companies will then pay you. Unlike most work at home jobs this is one is really legit and actually sends real checks to you at the end of the month. I have already made over $2500+ from this website and keep it mind that everything is free.I will love to answer any questions that you might have regarding this just contact me:

Just go to any place that interests you that would be open around that time and ask them if they are looking for employment. Also, it looks like what mike said was a scam.
