You think people would actually research for a question like this before blowing smoke. Here ar ethe facts. January 26, 1947, Red Byron won the inaugural National Championship Stock Car Circuit (NCSCC) that was started by Bill France that month. On December 14, 1947 Bill France met with 35 others who shared a concern for the future of stack car racing at the Streamline Hotel in Daytona Beach. They adopted a set of rules and Red Vogt coined National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). Fonty Flock the NCSCC champion was named 1947 NASCAR Champion in early season press releases, and in the first race under the Nascar , Red Byron wins on the Daytona Beach Road Course on February 15, 1948.

Full date for the race was February 15, 1948. Red Byron won a modified race on the Daytona Beach road course. The Strictly Stock series (which developed into today's Nextel Cup) didn't begin to hold races until June 19, 1949.

The first NASCAR-sanctioned race was held on the beach/road course at Daytona in February 1948.

In early 1947,January, Bill France formed what is now known as NASCAR,,at Daytona beach,,,Truman Fontello Flock was the first champion,,,this is according to NASCAR Chronicle

Who knows when and where the first stock car race was, however there were organized races before NASCAR was formed.
NASCAR was formed, I think, in '48, but I have no idea where the first official NASCAR race was.
