I do these EVERYDAY and i was wondering if you guys think I have OCD?....

before i go to sleep is when I do these the most.

I check to make sure my door is locked. I keep pulling on my door over and over again. Than I walk over to my window, look all around, and walk back to my door and do it again. Than back to my window, and so on. for a long time! I try to tell myself its stupid so I go to lay down but I cant because I think my door is not locked. so i do that whole thing over again.

Something else that I do is turn my hallway light on and off. I turn it on, look down the hallway, and turn the light off again. I try to walk away, but I don't feel right. SO I feel I need to turn it back on. I do this alot throughout the day. especially when im going to leave the house.

I also hate it when people go to the bathroom. lol it sounds funny but I will go out of my way to go in there first so they use a toilet that I dont use. Fear of germs maybe? I wash my hands alot in the day

Checking things repetitively? That sounds a lot like a type of OCD. You may want to get that checked out by a psychologist or something, ESPECIALLY if you have anxiety or feel uncomfortable when you don't do those things.

It sounds like you have obessive compulsive tendancies yes! The thing to remember here is that ocd in itself is not harmful, I think everybody has little quirks to themselves and do things that other people cant quite understand. But if this is having a negative affect on your life than you can seek help from your gp! The key here is if any of these things are causing you anxiety then its not so healthy so advice from a proffesional should would be reccommeded

I'm not a doctor or anything, but all of your symptoms are common symtoms of OCD. I saw a show about OCD on the Tyra Show and there was a man who did everything 4 times each. One teenager was afraid of going to places with crowds and eating meat because she didn't want to get infected with germs. I suggest you talk with a doctor or OCD specialist and they'll give you some referals. I hope it's not too serious. Good luck!

Yeah, you might have a mild form of OCD, but I really think we all do deep down, about something or another. If your compulsions start interfering with your everyday life, go see a therapist to talk about it. If you can carry on your normal life still, just chalk these things up to a few funny quirks and pet peeves and have a good life.

Sounds like it, you need to see a therapist and a psychiatrist, there is some meds that helps for it, but it needs to be used in combination with therapy. Good luck

yes, these are classic symptoms of ocd. just the fact that you say it sounds silly, but continue to do it, is a good clue.

you should go talk to a doctor/psychiatrist. if you don't fix it now it might get worse.
