i know ps2 you need to load a disc and save the settings to a memory card. my friend moved and threw away the box for his PS3.. do you just plug in an Ethernet cable and play or are there more steps?? We really want to play Rainbow six Las Vegas ONLINE

If your network has a password you need to set that up first. If your netowrk doesn't have a passoword, just plug in the ethernet cable into the router and away you go

I hope, that this'll work, but more chances, that simple plugging of ethernet straight into PS3 won't work. In my case - didn't, so I had to get a router (VPN support). With router it's all good.
