Whether or not you like cats, the nicest thing you could do for your gran is to take the cat in for her. Or...you can call up her vet and describe what's up with the cat and they may say it can wait until your mom is free. You may still need to take it in tomorrow, but you will have done your best and been a really great grandkid.

Could be an allergic reaction to a bite or something or could be its teeth/gums are infected....how old is the cat. How long has its face been swollen. If the swelling goes into the neck the cat could suffocate. Whether or not you like cats is not the issue...getting your grans cat to a vet to get checked out should be your main concern! If you love your gran you'll take the cat to the vet. Put the cat in a carrier...easiest way.

Well, if I were you I would have your Gran put the cat in a carrier or a box for you and then I would take him to the vet if your Gran wants him to go. It could be an abscess tooth, an abscess from being in a fight with another cat or something else entirely. I am pretty sure he needs an antibiotic at the least.

Very likely an abscess, which is caused by a bite or scratch and has become infected. Do something nice for your Gran even if you don't like cats much - take it to the vet.

yes! Take your gran's cat to the vet as soon as possible. Call ahead and explain the situation to the person who answers the phone.
Do not wait. This could be a serious infection that can only be diagnosed and treated by a veterinarian.
Good luck.

I'm sure your grandma is really worried about the cat but may be afraid to ask the favor of you.
Get a soft blanket and a little kennel and take the cat to the vet. Most likely, it's a bug bite, bee sting or perhaps part of another kitty's claw stuck in his skin from a cat fight. (This is VERY common.)

Yes, please do take the cat to a vet. This is very likely to be an abscess, which can cause hideous problems if left untreated. Keep in mind this will not be cheap - be prepared for a bill of around £150 IF it is an abscess. Please don't wait until wednesday. It's good of you to want to help even though you don't like cats. The cat will certainly be suffering in this condition even if he isn't showing it.

I would bring it to the vet if I were you. If you don't want to pick the cat up then through a treat in a box or cat carrier and close the box up when hes in.

I think that would be an awesome thing for you to do for your grandmother. Make sure you use a pet carrier so the cat doesn't scratch your face off.

if it's face is swollen it have just gotten stung by a bee or something but if the cat is having other problems i would take it to the vet immediatly. i would just call up the vet and see what he/she suggests.
