dairy foods as part of a lowfat sensable diet have actually been shown to help you loose weight. Make sure you are getting the low fat variety and wach out for lots of added sugar. Up your fruits and veggies, if you want a snack its a veggie or nothing. That will help you cut the mid day snacking. If you look at a candy bar and go mmm I'm hungry, look at a carrot and see if you still feel the same way. Also, once in a while splurge just a little.

Yogurt is EXCELLENT for losing weight!
Anything with calories (and that's about everything) can make you gain weight if you eat too much of it and don't exercise enough to burn it off.
Yogurt is light, low fat (or fat free, depending on the variety) and low in calories. The live cultures are great for your digestive system.. And the calcium helps your body burn fat quicker!
So.. Enjoy a yogurt for breakfast.. As a snack.. As a dessert. It's great for you! =)

Plain, nonfat yogurt is very good for you. What you have to look out for is the super sweetened ones with loads of sugar. Some have almost as much as a piece of candy. Your safest bet is to buy plain yogurt and mix in some fresh fruit.
As for losing weight, the more 'natural' the better. Fruits, veggies, lean meat, whole grains, etc. More exercise, fewer calories=weight lost.

No No I think yogurt is actually really good for you. It helps to clean out your stomach and is full of good bacteria. Any food is good in moderation. Yogurt can also make a great breakfast.
If you want to lose a few pounds, eat lots of fruit and veg. Breakfast cerial (especially with added fibre) is also healthy and fills you up. Portion control is also quite important. Be wise, and make sure you eat enough. I know from experience, that the anorexic look isnt sexy.

As I understand it, anything that has calories contributes to your weight.
But i think yogurt is a good choice because it's low in fat and has bacteria cultures that are good for you.
Reduce calorie intake. Exercise.

No, not unless you binge on it. Most cups of yogurt contain less than 3 grams of fat and less than 150 caolries...some have slightly more calories if they have fruit in the bottom or something. Otherwise, yogurt is very healthy.
