Forgeries and God will be a no show.

Cinderelly, you opened your mouth and you should not have:

The International Court of Justice (known colloquially as the World Court or ICJ; French: Cour internationale de Justice) is the primary judicial organ of the United Nations. It is based in the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands, sharing the building with the Hague Academy of International Law, a private centre for the study of international law. Several of the Court's current judges are either alumni or former faculty members of the Academy.

Established in 1945 by the UN Charter, the Court began work in 1946 as the successor to the Permanent Court of International Justice. The Statute of the International Court of Justice, similar to that of its predecessor, is the main constitutional document constituting and regulating the Court. The ICJ should not be confused with the International Criminal Court or a court exercising jurisdiction under Belgium's War Crimes Law, both of which also potentially have "global" jurisdiction.

LOL! Looks like God got himself a smart EARTHLY attorney.

Seriously, I think its a hoot!!! Obviously, its not really God who is responding...

So, Ive been giving this some time to digest, and I realize that God has made a major blunder in responding to this lawsuit...

God was never properly served with notice of an impending lawsuit!! Thus, the case could be dismissed right there...

HOWEVER, I would argue that God, being omniscient, would have already had prior knowledge of the lawsuit, and as such he has failed to appear and the Senator wins the lawsuit by default.

Then again, God could argue that, since he is omnipresent and "whenever two gather in my name, I shall be there" - he could argue that he WAS present at the trial, but no one bothered to cross examine him.

The Senator could then claim that God was given a chance in court to defend himself and failed to do so.

Excellent. If the court accepts those filings or if it does not, now that they have been presented God is obligated to respond in court.
If they can not decide which documents to accept, then an American Judge in an American court of law will be given the task of discovering which documents are really from God or which respondent actually is God.

Some right wingers obviously wanted to make a point about their religion. Now they might actually have to back it up. Whoever submitted these documents might be getting charged with the criminal act of submitting false testimony.

I'm reminded of the old black & white movie, "Miracle on 34th Street." If this mess actually gets to court, who will they put on the stand to represent God? George Burns was best, but he's long dead. Charlton Heston would be great, still alive and at least as old as God. This could be interesting, as the situation develops.

That we have a Senator filing a joke of a lawsuit, and a person who is willing to leave stray letters in defense of God because they have nothing better to do than defend God via cliche.

Ehh, I think it is ridiculous.

The senator was trying to prove a point, however absurd his attempt. And some guy forged a state document impersonating god (isn't that a sin; lying, impersonating god, and breaking the law?).

The senator's case should be thrown out. The forger should be punished.

Hmm, a thumbs down, apparently someone approves of forged legal documents. Interesting.

Ernie has always been a standout. Going to senate in his cutoff sleeve sweatshirt, he was always doing outrageous things.

Over the decades he has got a lot of legislation passed in Nebraska for minorites though.

It seems fairly obvious that the law office mentioned has spotted a good opportunity for some free publicity and provided the papers.

I like the point he's making, both about God and frivolous lawsuits, but all its really doing is increasing Christians' distaste for atheists and agnostics.
