What's the secret to living the Christian life?

The big "secret" is contained in one much misunderstood word:
GRACE

The Corinthians made "grace" a license to sin.
The Galatians started with "grace", but tried to continue to live the Christian life in "works".
Paul always spoke about the MEANS of salvation: faith.
...and always understood in the context of a grace-based salvation.
James spoke about the EFFECTS (or evidence) of salvation: works.
...and always understood in the context of a grace-based salvation through faith (a true, and living faith).

Paul and James agreed:
Salvation was by GRACE alone.
The means was faith, and the evidence was works (i.e. love).

Neither faith or works are the BASIS.
Faith is the MEANS, and works the EVIDENCE.

So, faith does not merit salvation.
And works do not merit salvation.

Jesus Christ's works are the "merits" of our salvation, which is therefore based on God's GRACE.

Salvation is threepart:
Justification (past): saved from the penalty of sin
Sanctification (present): being saved from the power of sin
Glorification (future): to be saved from the presence of sin.

But all three are by GRACE.

GRACE is the secret.

GRACE is what separates Christianity from EVERY other religion on the face of the planet.

So the secret of "living" the Christian life...is to live in the grace of God. We start, by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. And we continue, by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.

In grace, we forgive as we have been forgiven.
In grace, we love as we are loved.
In grace, we NEVER condemn...for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (by grace).

We live grace.
We preach grace.

We are saved by grace.

The Gospel is the "good news" of God's GRACE.

Although we are all sinner and deserve to go to hell for all eternity, yet God in His GRACE...freely offers salvation through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ...so that by believing in Him, we shall not perish, but have eternal life.

From grace to grace, we walk, live, breathe, teach, preach, proclaim God's GRACE. We think about it, meditate on it, and study it.

The depths of God's grace are unfathomable.

By God's grace comes salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. By grace, He freely gives us the Holy Spirit - and the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. By grace, we are given life - life to the full, abundant life.

GRACE is the secret.

The secret to living the Christian life is not much of a secret. Its a lifestyle that a person choses to follow. Believe in Jesus who died on the cross for us.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you And the biggest secret is to follow the ten commandments.
Its a peaceful life and little anger.
Jesus becomes your best friend and you tell him everything. So the secret if you believe there is one is the fact that you find a peacefulness about everything and you see the good in what God created.

Read the book by Watchman Nee called "The Normal Christian Life" he discusses the 2nd part of the work of the cross which half of all christians do not seek after.

Not only did Jesus die for our sins, but we were put on the cross to live a life victorious over sin.

Learning about Jehovah, he is not the fearful god, that most people make him out to be, reading the Bible, which is his letter to man-kind for us to learn about him - making our mind up that we will no longer do the wrong things we are doing in our life. And living up to that decision, no lying, stealing, cheating, heavy drinking, smoking, or taking of mind altering drugs. Jehovah is clean, we must be clean. It is hard to do, but it can be done, I used to smoke, cheat, steal, drink, and take drugs, also, I led a very vicious life, getting into fights, etc. To give an example: I could walk into a crowded bar, and people would back out of my way. Then I studied with Jehovah's people, and it didn't take long for me to realize that it really was right for me to change my life, and start doing the things Jehovah really wants from me.
We offer free home Bible studies, so you can learn about the Bible, and what it really teaches, you'll be so suprised to learn, that he wants what is best for us. And he does have a plan to save those of us that truly want to be saved, so that we can live 'forever'! Then after you have learned, you decide whether you want to become a Witness or not.

read the bible meditate on it, get an understanding and apply it. even if others are doing differently apply the principles and morals of it and you will be imitating christ who himself obeyed the scriptures (that were avaliable at teh time).

jesus left us a pattern to follow his steps closly and I will have to be perfectly honest it can be very difficult to follow it perfectly, of course we won't be able to, but if we care about it we will keep trying and show we really mean it and our lives will consistantly show it. it all boils down to trust, do you trust
That God knows what is best adn obey him even when seems more advantages to disobey his laws. trust that in the long run things will work out better for you.
