Maybe Acme just keeps sending you crap that doesn't work because you're related to Wile E. Coyote?

I'm a beauty therapist so have seen bad acne in my profession.
It could be that you are just going through your normal teenage stage or if it continues and is really bad then you would have a genetic predispostion to this.
Cleansing twice (best to do one cleanse to get rid of make-up and daily grime and then cleanse again to actually cleanse th skin) a day is good make sure that you are using the right products for your skin.
Exfoliate one or two times per week no more or you will aggravate the problem, but this will help to get rid of the dead skin cells that clog your pores and would make the matter worse.
Tone then moisturise, you may feel if your skin is oily that you don't need moisturiser but you still do just make sure that all products are oil free if that is the type of skin that you have.
Once a week applying a mask is good, something with a clay base to help with the oiliness.
Try putting on a little bit of pure lavender oil on each pimple at night time. This is more gentle than other products mentioned and can help to dry them up over night.
Even if you have the cyst type pimple where it is red, hot to touch and painful with no white top, lavender oil can quicken up the healing process and make it come up to a white head by the next day.
Try not to squeeze them as you will only be spreading the bacteria deeper down into your skin. If you have to make sure that you have clean fingers, wrap some tissue around each finger and slowly add pressure to the pimple.
Then make sure that you use some sort of antiseptic on the spot to cleanse it.
It's hard not to touch your face all the time but try not to as you have so many bacteria on your fingers.
Greasy food and chocloate will not give you acne if you eat a well balanced diet, if you eat junk all the time it will eventually show on your face.
If you want to go down the anitbiotic route it's up to you but I have found that a lot of people get worse on them before they get better but once they stop taking the medication the acne comes back again.
This medication not only drys out the sebaceous glands where the oil is produced but drys up or starts to dry up all the fluid in the whole body, skin, joints everywhere so long term can be bad for you.
IPL is great for congested acne skin just make sure that you go to a registered operator.
Hope this helps.

Some people just get it, and others don't.

It could be an inherited thing. Your mom or dad, or even grandma or grandpa could have had really bad acne. The cleanser your using might not be working correctly. I would suggest you going and using the Clean & Clear Advantage line of acne face washes, toner, moisturizer. It works well and its cleared up the few pimples I have.

Its important to do more then just wash your face. You need to make a routene to wash your face until all your makeup is off [having makeup on when you go to sleep can clog your pores and cause acne]. Wash your face 2 times a day [morning and evening], use a gentle toner on it, and then moisturize it with a facial moisturizer. Make sure when you wash your face you clip all your hair back and you wash in all the "nooks & crannies" so to speak. Wash it all off thoroughly because excess cleanser on your face can cause acne.

If your acne problems continue, you need to seek the help of a dermatologist. Go to your doctor and have him or her reccommend a good one. A dermatologist may suggest a perscription medication to you like a Topical ointment or they may suggest a skin care line. You can always call them and ask them, and they can tell you over the phone what to use and what to do. There's no need to be embarassed--doctors and dermatologists have seen it all before!

Also, if you are using a cover-up [foundation] with oil in it, you need to stop because it can clog your pores. If you can go days without makeup, it really helps your face breathe, which is great for acne.

Oh and sweetie I think you meant "acne" in both places, no "acme". If you need any other advice just contact me. I know a lot about skin care, acne, makeup, etc.

I don't really know much about redness but if you do have acne also then you can try some new cleanser. I had a $30 prescription for some cleanser, which isn't much but still its $30. Well, I took it to CVS to get it filled and they told me that since so many doctors were now prescribing it, that they took it upon themselves to create their own version. Its the exact same thing and it works really well. All it is is the store brand name (CVS) cleanser that says 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. You can find it in the neutrogena aisle. It is blue and only costs like $4.99 I believe. But it cleared my acne up so nice..and I had it pretty bad. Though I didn't have the redness with it so I'm not sure if it will help or hurt it. But it's worth a shot!

Sometimes it depends on your diet. If you eat a lot of sugars, caffine then you will get zits and sometimes even when your period comes around. You could have over-active oil glands on your face. I recommend washing your face once in the morning and once in the evening. Usually I notice my face is a little oily than normal in the morning. Also, when you get home from the day use some Clean & Clear astringent to get any excess oil and dirt from the day off.

it's acne not acme. Acme is the company that makes products for the guy who chases the roadrunner.

Go to a doctor and try oral antibiotics. If things are really bad see a dermatologist and try Accutaine (sp?).

You've probably got a genetic predisposition toward oily skin. You can go to your doctor and they will prescribe something that will actually clear up your complexion. I had to get Retin-A, and it helped a -lot-. Eventually, when you're older, you'll be able to use the over-the-counter creams just fine. But for now, definitely talk to your doc.

You can't just wash your face 10 million times a day and expect to be rid of acne! It also depends on what you eat, so stay away from sweet and oily foods( french fries, hamburgers, and ESPECIALLY ANY TYPE OF NUTS!!! They're the WORSE!!).

:)
