I have noticed that most of the people here are obsessed with the fact that you are not suppose to act on infringements to your freedoms. People are never allowed to express their opinion if it is not that of the majority. Protesting is something only dumb/high hippies do and if you don't believe in the christian/judeo sky daddy you're not a patriot or citizen, only a sub-American at best. Many here also beat the drum for excessive unwarranted police brutality as in the recent explosion of taserings of people that are already subduded and in handcuffs. Not to mention all the people that STILL stand behind the prez. knowing what a lying, law breaking power hungry scumbag he is.
Well I hope you people will be happy when the jackbooted thugs kick in your door and throw you in the gulag for no reason and don't even let you call anyone. Those that disagree will just prove my point and those that do agree, Thanks

A "police state" is a bit of a stretch to say the least; however, there are plenty in certain fringes of society that would desire to have such an authoritarian regime in place and would stop at nothing to impose upon all of society certain ideals and beliefs that are deeply-held by such fringe elements.

If you think we are even any where near the same sphere as a police state you are beyond any help. Go overseas and see the world instead of sitting on here showing us all how stupid you are.

You, like many others here, are stating YOUR opinion (and as you last sentence says...if we don't agree, we are wrong). If this was actually a police state, you wouldn't be able to rant as you are doing. If you believe the opinions here are fact, you really need some help.

You mean because we repealed Habeas Corpus?
Or the senate just passed a measure condemning free speech?
Or all the police actions against war protestors- more free speech with chilling effect thrown in?
Or violating privacy laws, and the president coercing telecom companies into being accomplices to these crimes?
Sorry, didn't have to get here to realize this.

You can not be from Iran or Syria, because you would know better, if you were still alive.
So, I have to guess that you are one of those Liberals that moveon.org stated that they bought, and Own!
May I suggest that you move to Iran, Syria, North Korea, Russia or China. I wonder how long you would last.
If you were able to keep you life, you would then know how foolish your question is!

Oh yes.
And some paint that as something to be proud of... kinda like that rabid "German nationalism" in 1933.
And of course,.. we all know what happened after that.

You don't say what country you are in. Move to the US where we have freedom guaranteed by a Constitution.
