--WE CHOOSE to vote on issues that pertain to something getting done!
--THUS voting is optional!--OF ANY KIND!
--I voted for one candidate in all my life and that was John Lindsay as mayor for NYC 1965,66 and after I saw he could do nothing, like all politicians, AND are at equal IN their worth-- I never voted again, for any individual!
--I MADE UP my mind to not ever vote again for a candidate before I ever was a witness.
--THUS IT was easy for me to see politics and involvement in supporting them , was not in the said will of Jehovah God , nor of his son Christ
UPDATE # 1
--Christ himself kept clear of ANY political envolvement!
--IF HE set the example of political involvement, as the real Jesus , then I would vote for his concept:
(1 Peter 2:21) “21 In fact, to this [course] YOU were called, because even Christ suffered for YOU, leaving YOU a model for YOU to follow his steps closely. . .”
--BUT he refused any earthly office or any participation therein:
(John 6:15) “. . .Therefore Jesus, knowing they were about to come and seize him TO MAKE HIM KING, WITHDREW AGAIN (my caps)into the mountain all alone.”
--NO TRUE CHRISTIAN got involved with politics, voting etc. after his death and well into and after all the apostles had died!
=======
UPDATE # 2 "OFFICIAL STAND"
*** w99 11/1 p. 29 Questions From Readers ***
The November 15, 1950, issue of The Watchtower, on pages 445 and 446, said: “Where Caesar makes it compulsory for citizens to vote . . . [Witnesses] can go to the polls and enter the voting booths. It is here that they are called upon to mark the ballot or write in what they stand for. The voters do what they will with their ballots. So here in the presence of God is where his witnesses must act in harmony with his commandments and in accordance with their faith.IT IS NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY (my caps) responsibility to instruct them what to do with the ballot"
--THAT IS THE official stand of the Watchtower Society!

Voting in politics?? Like for President of the US?
NO! that is strictly forbidden! They have never been involved with the political system of any country. They support God and His Kingdom of government. This government will solve all of Earth's problems, and restore paradise!

I carpool with one. Essentially they believe that the governments and laws of men are not equal to Gods Rule or Law. That voting for a man/woman is snubbing god by worshiping a lower or competitive power. They believe that all of the governments and laws of man are doomed to fail and collapse. That is when god will return to rule and implement his law.

No voting is allowed. They want to remain "no part of the world". They should just live under rocks already.

No, not unless they changed their policy again. They aren't allowed to vote and can be disfellowshipped (shunned) for doing so.

It is highly discouraged, basically any type of political participation or affiliation would be frowned upon.
