What's that sound called... At the end of psychobilly freakout, the guitar squeals. Kind of... like the finger is just barely touching the string?

Yup sounds like harmonics. Typically when you just barely touch the string you can get a sound that is an octave higher than you would expect and it has an 'airy' sound. You can do it at any fret but its easiest to do at fret number 12 (the one with two dots) which is already an octave higher than an open string.

It's called "harmonics". Easiest to get is at the 12th fret - barely touch the strings and you get a chimey, airy sound.

Go to Stanroys Music on 4th. Street, Santa Rosa. They demonstrate all that kind of stuff. The Clerks are very helpful.
