my friend always does about her family and i dont really care! its really annoying!

I think it's more of a pride thing and they don't realize that they're being rude. I deal with that sometimes with my guy. It's annoying, but I get over it.
Try changing the subject. That's what I do.

People brag for many reasons. Some brag because it makes them feel better about themselves. Others do it because they are so proud of something/someone. Others do it to spite people who may not be as fortunate as them.

Becuase they are insecure.
When I lived in the USA all I heard was brag brag and more brag.
I turned round one day and said
OMG you are going to need a hell of a big coffin to take all this with you !
It shut them up quick!

People brag because they are happy about something. Maybe she is proud of her family and that is too cool!

People brag because they NEED you to care.
Even if they display extree confidence...they are insecure.
They need you to either acknowledge them, or envy them!
