okay better yet can you admit that you DONT know god DOESNT exist? Ive already asked the christians if they can admit they dont know god exists but rather believe he does. I mean there is no proof that he does or doesnt as otherwise if there was, then people would be in denial.

and so far none of them have admited that they believe and not know. so can you admit that you believe he doesnt exist, or are you as stubborn as they are? I mean some of you do criticize them for believing things that cant be proven, but then the same would apply to you for believing that something isnt true cause it cant be proven.

Can you admit that pink unicorns might exist? How about Zeus or Odin?

If not, then you are just a illogical as "they" are.

Sorry, but your rants are no improvement upon the thousands of years of philosophical arguments with which we are all already familiar.

We can never know everything.
There will always be some wiggle room in science for God to rest in.

Everytime we think we're on the verge of knowing all the secrets we end up getting a huge slap in the face.

At one point ether was king. The only answer we didnt have was why metal turned red when heated. Wham! Ether theory finally gets shot down destroying nearly everything we know about physics.

We've been on the verge of the tiniest building block of life how many times now? Everytime we find something and break it apart tons of new crap tumbles out.

All the questions in science can never be answered, so no one can ever say 100% that there is no God.

God can only be proven, not disproven. Just like alien life and intelligent trailer park residents.

As an atheist I do not "criticize" anyone for their beliefs. I do not believe that there is a God. If somehow a God did appear and smite me down then I guess I would have to admit that there is a God but this will never happen. If God came forth and spoke to me then that would be the proof to me that a God exists and negate the need for faith. Thus if faith is necessary for God and he proved that he existed to me then that would prove the fact that there was never a God in the first place and anything I did see was just a product of my deranged imagination.

Because I'm not agnostic? I don't merely lack belief in gods; I definately think that gods do not exist. Because I've spent a helluva lot of time and thought into making my conclusion about this; it wasn't easy I had been debating it in my mind for awhile now. I do not have a fanatical unwillingness to consider the possibility of being wrong, nor do I adopt a position of "faith" taken independently of reasoning. My assertion is not dogma. Omnipotent deities are the most illogical and impossible. The Pagan gods have a slightly higher probability of existing because they aren't defined with such paradoxical qualities as the Christian god is for example.

I believe on what i see with my eyes, what really gets me is that some people really go way over the top with god and all, they live there lives around what the bible says is right and wrong, they teach there children to believe from the day there born that's why religion survives the generations in theory its the same as forcing your child to support the same sports team as you, the child knows nothing about its surroundings from birth so its forced on them, THIS IS WRONG.

I can't believe on what a book tell us, a book which is confusing full of contradictions and pure fantasy, the human species cannot live 600 years, a boat cannot hold animals and survive for so long without them killing each other how can we or i believe this as true? where did the fresh food come from for these animals to survive what about the plant eating animals? did they have fresh grown plants and tree's on that boat, and fresh meat from a freezer? what about fresh water? to drink, non of it Make's sense, i could go on about other fantasy story's in the bible that don't make sense.

I believe god does not exist though lack of not evidence but lack of sense.

I can't prove that the invisible monkey that lives in my house doesn't exist beyond a shadow of a doubt either, but the overwhelming majority of evidence points to the fact that he's not really there. Same can be said for pink unicorns living on the far side of Pluto, the tooth fairy, and yes... god. I cannot prove with 100% certainty that none of these things do not exists, but the evidence is strong enough for me consider it "close enough"

No I can't, and here is why. god is a human construct., with no basis in fact or physical evidence. He was made up. god is a myth. This is the same question as "can you admit that the tooth fairy might exist".

I have no reason to think god might exist, or that there is a god at all. When it gets down to it, there is no reason to suppose any god might exist at all.

Actually, most of your respondents have done quite well in answering your question.... a personal god is simply contrary to experience, and as well, science has overwhelming evidence as to how life occurred on this planet. ...so a god is not necessary to explain life, or lightening, or plagues, or floods.... Even the Catholic Church accepts that evolution occurred. So, if you wish to keep the tradition of using the word god, it is no longer a sky daddy, bearded guy that periodically interferes and saves people...... sometimes... rather old fashioned, and silly, and childish, don't you think????

As Paul Tillich says, "God is not a being, god is being itself." As well, I think god is other things, like love, and caring, and brilliance, say, as a painter creates and pulls you into his work. God is in the hand of a surgeon who cuts to cure, and in the energy of a foal running next to his mother. For sure, these are god. For sure, it is not a 'person' who 'keeps a list, and checks it twice' (that kind of stuff is fairytales) .... for sure not the god of the Old Testament... If the prayers of 11 million who died in the Holocaust weren't answered, your puny little prayer has no chance, does it? So, tho the people who answered your question are not theists' (supernaturalists) most of them, myself included, believe god is bigger than what you are asking....

I hope this helps

i really understands you, but you must have to belive first that God exist. the only way to belive is by faith, it is just like a person who lost his grandfather in his infant age, and was shown a picture of the man he dont even know or see, that he is his grandfather, he must have to belive.God is a might being who his ways are more different to that of a man.my dear let me ask you this question, if you can get it, i will tell you more secriet about God.can you measure the kilogram of fire, or can you bring a day that have pasted...please know that God exits, and remeber no body can question the majesty of the lord.he is the one that lives even before the creation was made....have faith and belive.

Yes. Absolutely.

I admit that it is possible that some type of god or creator exists. I also admit that I don't know the ultimate answers to the universe.

But that doesn't say anything about which god or god(s) and doesn't say anything about what they may or may not want.

The Christian God, the Jewish God, the Muslum god, the Hindu Gods are only a few of a nearly infinite number of possibilities.
