Prius drivers are super lame and it is extremely annoying to have to look at such a hideous car AND also have to drive AROUND them, cuz they have 12 Horsepower and make my commute a living hell.

Around where I live almost everyone drives like a complete maniac. It's either too fast or too slow or it is reckless driving with squealing tires and nobody seems to know what turn signals are. The difference is that when it is an unusual and/or really nice car like the Prius or a DeLorean you tend to remember the bad driving more. My own personal experience is that I went with my sister's boyfriend to Wal-Mart in an Explorer and pulled up next to an NHW20 (current, hatchback) Prius. We were in the left turning lane and the Prius was in the right turning lane without the turn signal on. Once traffic cleared we started to move forward and at the last second the person driving the Prius kicked on the left turn signal and turned out in front of us (cut us off). Granted this wasn't the first time I have been cut off by another vehicle and I know it won't be the last but because of what vehicle it was I remember it clearly.
As far as them driving slow goes I don't know because unfortunately there aren't enough of them in my area for me to notice.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever actually driven behind a Prius. But if I did, I don't think I would make the connection between the Prius and the slowness. I would just say "Gah! Bloody tourists!" If it were to happen more than once or twice, I would start to make a connection though, so it probably isn't that you're weird or anything.

What's to hate? Prius drivers are just trying to be stingy with the gas. Also, the car has a much more limited range if driven fast. Quick accelerations and fast driving wear on the batteries and cause the gas engine to do too much of the work. This burns the gas at a faster rate. They have a smaller fuel tank and once out of gas can't go too far on the electric alone.

It's just you.
Some Prius drivers drive slow, some drive really fast. Just like any car, it depends on the driver.
If a Prius is going slow in front of you, maybe you should be grateful that they're saving you money by making you drive in a more fuel efficient way.

It's just you. I do however HATE aggressive drivers and I know they cause the majority of accidents. Also, I noticed that most aggressive drivers are in Honda's not Prius. Get over it and thank these slower more careful drivers for saving you gas and keeping you out of an accident!

Ipersistent an old Buick, I did have a city vehicle, yet I have been given a smaller vehicle! the only autos that fairly make me think of , is those with the LOUD mjufflers, and the greater youthful male drivers who attempt to make their care sound LOUD..........'yet while i grew to become into youthful that grew to become into so plenty greater common! i think of the louder the muffler the smaller the penis! The nonsense peaple say and write when they think they know about a certain subject. 12HP is for the Honda. Prius has 67 "Electric horse power" and goes from 0 to 60 in 10 seconds. Prius is just like any other car, the diference is less fuel for the same job.

Where I live, the Prius drivers drive FAST.
It's the only one of two cars allowed in the HOV lanes on the Long Island Expressway with a single occupant. You would see the Prii zipping by in the HOV lane at 70mph while the rest of the cars are crawling along in the regular lanes in heavy traffic at 30mph.
Every time I saw that, "I got to get me one of those" pops into my head.. Until I finally gave in and bought one. :-D
Fuel tank size is not an issue. Even if you drive like a lead-footed maniac in the Prius and average 35mpg, you can still get 385 miles out of one single tank of gas (11.5 gallons capacity).

Nope I don't, and I DON"T drive one myself. The reason they are driving "slow" is that
1. they are following the legal limit
2. they are trying to use gas in the most efficient way.
Slowing down and driving the speed limits can help save lots of gas.
