all the time, i go to yahoo answers and type in a question on a particular habit of mine. wheather its laughing or me being sad or whatever (check out my questions if you dont know what im talking about) and i get answers that say im bipolar or depressed or schitzophrenic. and i look for those answers. i enjoy being told im bipolar or schitzophrenic (not the biggest fan of depression, but....). every day or every other day, i try to think of something i do that may lead people to say that im "mentally ill." why do i do this? i want to stop. its getting on my nerves. but i cant. this was the only solution i could think of. lol. maybe someone will say im nuts : )

so, how do i stop?

attention seeking ? have you see your gp for a diagnosis? i can't understand why you would enjoy being told that you are schitzophrenic,. there are so many people in this world who suffer from this disabilitating disease who would give all they own to be cured. i find your attitude offensive, and have answered your post purely to tell you so ! if you really are ill, seek help!!!, if not GROW UP, you are belittling those who actually are ill.it's not a laughing matter, in fact i think you are a moron,!!, get a diagnosis, if you are schitzophrenic or bipolar, get treatment, get well and then maybe i would sympathise with you. i can't say any more on this issue.

Well first of all you need to understand what those diseases are. Be VERY grateful that you don't have these issues but, you do have a problem I just don't know what to call it. That wasn't said for your enjoyment. Do you realize how many people struggle with these diseases and are doing everything they can to help themselves? You need a little God in your life! Now I'm not sure if I want to answer anymore questions like this, I feel so much compassion for people with real issues and can't pour my heart out enough to them when I answer questions like this that are real. You really need to just stop it. Change happens in a second if you want to. Stop doing this and pray for the people that really do have the issues you mentioned. Not stopping will just be very very self centered. I hope this had some kind of meaning for you.

Unplug your computer. Often times, when people get bored, they like to do things randomly just to get a reaction. My brother is like that. Heaven help me if he gets bored! He'll make it look like he cut his arm really bad and come running through the living room covered in "blood" and I will chase after him to help and he will turn around and spray ketchup all over me. It's not funny, but it gets a big reaction out of me and he thrives on that. He's gotten in trouble time after time, gotten the lecture about boys who cry wolf and he STILL just can't stop.

So, I think that when you are bored, you need attention. You wind people up, just so they will pay attention to you. I don't think it matters whether the attention is positive or negative. Negative emotion (i.e. people saying you are nuts) winds you up more than a little praise. Anger, hurt, condemnation are more honest emotions and you like it.

Eventually, you are going to grow out of it. If you don't, then you are going to run into some major social issues. No one wants to be around someone who is annoying.

Good luck!

Go to a therapist. Asked to be diagnosed. Then you will know if your nuts or not.

There are also good personality and disorder tools on the web.

They did a pretty good job of telling me that I am hypermanic and not bi-polar.

Do you think you could have Munch-hausens by Proxy Disease? Where people make themselves sick or do things for attention. I think you are craving the opinion of others to release pent-up anxiety. To stop you have to acknowledge you have a problem, and make a conscience effort to.

Maybe you want people to pay attention to you or maybe you want to be unique in some way. Either way, if you want to stop than stop.
