My mom is going to let me get my nose pierced for my next birthday & I'm really excited!
How much does it hurt on a scale of 1-10? How do you take care of it properly so it doesn't get infected? If you have any other advice or anything it would be appriciated=] Thanks!

I got my nose pierced a few years ago. On a scale from 1-10 it hurts about an 8. They can't pierce it like they would your ear. They place a tight clamp on your nostril and then put a very sharp curved needle through your nose. The next few days after it will really hurt! But it gets better with time and once it heals you will love it. As far as cleaning it. They gave me a small squeeze bottle and some mild liquid soap. You dilute it way down and rinse the piercing while squirting this on it. To begin with it will have nasty crusties when you get up in the morning and will really hurt. But once you clean it up it is fine. They also gave me a small thing of bacitracin to use for the first few weeks. I did learn one thing though. Don't remove it unless you want it to close back up. I had to remove it for my job with a county jail. When I went to put it back in after shift it was already closing up. Just something to think about.

I'd say about an 8 as well. The actual piercing of your nose is what's the worst. Once they get the needle through, your adrenaline takes care of the rest. You will some pressure when they put the jewelry in. This is just my personal opinion, though. The experience will be different for each person.
As far as after-care, I used a mild anti-bacterial soap to wash it fairly often. Now, for everyday care, I use Blairex. It's a saline solution I bought at Wal-Mart.

uhh it hurts about a 3. You just put some cleaning solution or soap on it daily. and dont mess with the stud after you get it pierced. if you take care of it right, then it shouldnt get infected because your nose is the same cartilage as the cartilage on your ears so basically its another ear piercing. Congrates got permission to get nose pierced. just like when doctor give an injection.get it done from a doctor,or trained person so that it does not damage any nerves.get one neem tree small and thin twig of size and get put it inside the pierced nose for ten days before fixing any ornament.

they will tell you how to take care of it my niece had it done she said it be a 2 but it be hard to pick your nose

It probably doesn't hurt that bad, your eyes will water though. It depends on the person though, but not bad. :]
