I am looking for the Wilderness Pumpkin bread recipe that was only found on a can of Pumpin pie filling.(it might have been a small page folded and glued to the can also) I had orginaly thought the recipe was on a Libby product, But I have been kindley reminded it was Wilderness. If you have this in your files please sent it to me.

Pumpkin Bread

This bread tastes fantastic! It is so moist too.

3 cups sugar
1 cup salad oil (canola)
4 eggs, beaten
1 (16 ounce) can solid pack pumpkin
2/3 cup water
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cloves
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Cream the sugar and oil together.
Add eggs and pumpkin, mixing well.
Mix together the dry ingredients.
Add dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture alternately with water.
Pour into 2 well greased and floured 9 x 5 inch loaf pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until tests done.
Let stand 10 minutes, remove from pan to cool.
Note: To test for doness, insert a toothpick off center and if it comes out clean the bread is done.

I'm so sorry...I do not know the recipe for your "Wilderness Pumpkin Bread". I thought that you might be willing to make this recipe in case you can't locate yours. I made this a couple of months ago for someone in the hospital & she really enjoyed it...HAPPY BAKING!!!

Pumpkin Bread

This bread is very moist and dense with a lovely spiced pumpkin flavor.

3 9x5x3-inch loaves
1½ hours 25 min prep

5 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
3 teaspoons baking soda
2 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
1 cup shortening
4 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
6 large eggs
3 cups canned pumpkin
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups nuts, chopped

Grease three 9x5x3-inch loaf pans.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together dry ingredients; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream shortening, sugar, and vanilla.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add pumpkin; mix well.
Sift in dry ingredients alternating with water.
Mix until smooth.
Fold in nuts.
Turn batter into prepared pans.
Bake for 45 to 55 minutes.
