you are right about that!! i do think your other grades are good but they do not change the F.... because you have a hard time with you really should do everything you can to get help and do extra credit... i am wondering though... the way my sons classes are set up... if all he does is his homework everyday and fails every test / quiz he still can get a D.... and the truth is, if you do your homework everyday and get it done correctly you should be able to at least pass a test if only with a D.... sorry... it does suck.. but you do have next semester right???? what to do?? show them the grade, don't argue, keep your thoughts to yourself and get them to sign it and suffer through whatever consequences it brings...they can't eat you!! you will live through whatever they do... remember how it feels and try to prevent it from happening again...whether you hate math or not... it doesn't change anything...

There are plenty of ways you can bring up your grade. As someone said already, you can find a tutor, you can also see if theres any tutoring programs available at your school, or ask your parents/siblings/someone who understands math to help you.. You can also talk to your teacher and see if they can help you further with whatever it is that is hurting your grade. Ex. Missing Homework, Problems you dont understand, etc. Overall doing this will greatly effect your next grade period. As a last resort you can also look up online the types of problems your having troubles with to find out how to do them, print out worksheets and work on those. My sister also has troubles with math, like long division and fractions. I showed her how to look up the rules for these and printed out worksheets and this helped her with her problems.

Oh Wow. I have never had an "F" before but I have done somthing awful. I deleted Edline reports from my mom's email (Edline is wear parents can go on the internet and see their child's grades). You just have to come out and tell them. There really isn't a easy way. Softening them up wont work either. When they start yelling don't yell back at them. Let them get their anger out and then they will turn sweet. Own up to what u did. Don't make excuses unless there really is one. Come up with ways to bring your grade up and suggest them to your parents. Take your punishment without argument. Also, ask your dad to check over your math questions or to help you out with something you dont understand.
Doing this turned out well for me. I was only grounded for a month.

You are best to show it and admit to whatever got you the F, be it lack of studying, skipping class, whatever. If you are having trouble with the coursework, tell them so they can get you a tutor or help you themselves. Trust me, you parents will be more proud of you to admit your mistakes than to hide them. By admitting them, you are showing that you are mature and responsible and for that, they will believe you more and give you more freedoms.

Show it to your parents, and express to the that you need help in math. If they know you are worried and want improvement and ask to see if they can hire you a tutor for math, maybe the'll go easy on you. I think parents get mad when you lie to them and show them that you don't care about your grade.

How about: "Mom, I just got my report card today... I think I need some serious help... can we please get me a tutor?"

I think most parents would be glad to get you the help you need to get past the disconnect you have with math.
You really need to get past this in order to graduate.
Try talking to the school guidance counselors... maybe there is a program they can get you into.

Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.

you seriously just have to show it. no pain no gain.

although, you could forge your dad's signature or something. but that's a bad thing to do. so yeah, go with the first option.
