junk! "Work from home!","Be your own boss!","Training provided!","No experience or education needed!""Make 10k each month from home!" If it was that easy, why doesn't everyone do it? No education or experience needed and you still make 10K/month. Who can pass that up? Maybe someone with an education that might know that the real world does not hand you a 6 figure income with no experience or education. Poor suckers. All I am getting at is, why does Yahoo or Hot Jobs put more filters in place to keep the crap out? Who is benefiting from this?

There are really two parts to this. The first is why there are so many "Work from home" type of jobs posted. And the second is why there are a lack of quality jobs on sites like Hot Jobs and Monster.

1) Most of the jobs you are referring to are some type of Multi-level Marketing or Network Marketing. These businesses are not ALL a big scam, but they certainly get a bad rap because of ads like these.

It's cheap and easy for people in the business to post tons of these ads so that's why we see so many.

2) The reason there's a lack of quality jobs on these services is because most jobs are filled long before there's a need to use an online service or newspaper.

If you have a certain field in mind, I would suggest finding companies in that field and looking for job postings on there website or contacting them in person.

Best of luck!

Hot Jobs benefits because they charge for the job listings

HotJobs is the cheapest for job posting aside from Craigslist, and also is the only one that will allow you to "refresh" the job everyday so it looks like a new posting. That is probably why.
