Why isnt it as big of a part of your list as chicken or beef?

Do you like it? Why or why not?

Is it linked to your culture/ethnicity (meal ideas, recipes, religion, etc..)

Meat not meet of course. We all suffer from bouts of stupidity. :)

Sure I like it. Why? It tastes good! Why is it 'cute' animals aren't eaten, but 'ugly' ones, why, that's all right? The calves used for veal would grow up to be cows used for beef.

As to how much I eat. Less than chicken, pork, and beef because it's a little costlier and, like lamb, somewhat less available in the middle of the US. But I eat both, and rabbit and just about every thing else.

I think It's not a big part of the shopping list, because it's not as easily available in some shops. I think there are also some ppl who have no idea how to prepare veal... so Naturally beef and chicken is huge :)

Veal rocks... very nice as a schnitzel :)

Veal is great! I really like it a lot, but it isn't as available as some of the other meats. Also, it is quite a bit more expensive so I only make it once in awhile. Veal Parmesan is wonderful. One of my favorites!

I like it very much, there is no better!!! "Why isnt it as big of a part of your list as chicken or beef?" 1kg of veal is costing here abot 10 Euro, 1 kg of chicken is costing about 2. ok?

My community (county) is mostly ranchers and farmers who are also big time hunters... They provide their close nit school buddies and long time neighbors with such essentials..
The 3 markets in the city are supported by the welfare folks and many retired Seniors on pensions or SSA (less than 3k)
You can request a cut but they tell me "the whole1/2 or 1/4". that's what I've been told,..

Veal tastes great and is very tender. I don't eat it often because it is expensive and I like a little variety. Veal Parmesan is one of my favorite dishes.

I like it a lot. My bf is a vegetarian, and has a fit when I eat it in front of him. So I have to eat it when he is not around.

They are usually not humanely raised, then again, neither are any of the other meat animals you buy in non-health food stores.

I have personally never tried it. Maybe because chicken and beef is just traditionally more available for a cheaper price. Never really thought about it.

I was just kidding about that fatted calf answer back there. I saw a show on what they do to make veal. Look it up, I've never eaten it, and I never will.
