whats so different about Jewish people? what makes them so hated? we are the 21st century you would expect people to be a bit more civilised by now but no, if somebody Jewish walks in the street wearing the star of david , young and older people will make remarks such as 'jew boy/girl' or 'dirty jew'. im assuming these people are quite uneducated (correct me if I'm wrong) and when i say Jewish people i dont want you to imagine a person with a long nose, curly hair, black hat and ropes because they are very religious jews and are very rare nowadays, i want you to imagine a normal person just like you. do you think anybody has the right to humiliate and ridicle a normal person just because of the sheer fact that they are jewish . so tell me if you knew somebody was Jewish , would you treat them differently? Yes you can answer honestly . Thanks.

Um... not at all? Considering that 40% of the students at my school are Jewish, I don't think I'd have any friends if I were antisemitic. I'm pretty sheltered, though; I've never met a single antisemite.

The problem is, though my community is tolerant, the rest of the world isn't. I don't understand how we can be living in a place that's still full of bigotry and hate. After all these years, you'd think we'd have learned better.

Maybe. If I found out a friend of mine was Jewish and I didn't know that before, I might find I have more in common with them, since I'm Jewish. But I have found that people treat me when they find out I'm Jewish--they look at me strangely, but thankfully, it is only because they have questions about it that they don't know how to get answered. Every once in a while I'll get people who make these terrible cracks about Jews, pennies, and the Holocaust, though...they're on the rise a bit more today but have been much better in the past in their rarity.

Some of my friends are Jewish and I don't treat any differently than any of my other friends. My twin sister taught me many years ago to respect them with honor as they gave us the word of God. I have been in a synagogue several times to pray and the rabbi knew I was a Christian. I also believe in the future of Israel as a Jewish State.

The Jews have continuously been the brunt of issues. The are the "killers" of Jesus (in spite of the undeniable fact that i presumed the Roman have been in contact as properly) and the entire usury concern (even nonetheless the Catholic and Christian kings have been given a decrease on the action) and that terrible e book "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" which purports how the Jewish human beings will take over the international perchance the Muslims would desire to take over from the Jews, in spite of the undeniable fact that it purely looks ok

Of course not. I have quite a few Jewish friends. I treat them the same as I do anybody else, which means with respect.

No I wouldn't treat a Jewish person differently and I think it's sad that some people would.

a good friend of mine is jewish - he was my "first jewish friend" and we met at work about 7 years ago. to a degree i DO treat him diferently.
when i sign of with prayers for him it's through God.
i send him hanaka cards not Christmas
i remember him at yom kippur
i ask him questions about judism - like when i was reading the faye kellerman books and wanted to know it this was real or part of the story or how you say a particular jewish word.
i don't offer him meals or items that aren't kosher
i don't bother him on the sabbath
i would offer to work his holy days and he would do mine
when i was going to auschwitz, i asked him about it and he went to his rabbi on my behalf to obtain a couple prayers i could say - they were wonderful by the way.

so yes, i treat all my friends differently - including my jewish friend and his family. i embrace and learn from our differences and we celebrate our similarities!

I know a number of Jewish people and treat them no differently to anyone else except that I don't offer them ham sandwiches when they visit

With only reading your title, would you treat someone who had a bigger nose then you differently? Or perhaps someone taller? Maybe people who get a kick out of seeing a clown at a circus.

After reading your post, the hate against Jewish people is they had been blamed for the death of Christ and people is MAD!

See where religion messes everyone up?

Yes, I would.

They'd get the Kosher cookies and the cards with the dredles, not the butter cookies and the cards with the angels or a little bit of everything and the cards with the stag.

December is coming. :)

And I would not invite them over for pulled pork and bacon cheeseburgers.
