Do they normally have a really fast heartbeat? Does it cause them to shake? And what about when they're trying to rest? Please let me know. Thank you.

Call a vet and ask them.

Rule of thumb is......the smaller the dog, the faster the heartbeat. It's just the nature of the beast.

Shaking may be due to fear....or being chilled. Little puppies sometimes have difficulty maintaining their body temp. You could try a small jacket on your pup and see if the shaking subsides.

100-150 beats per minute - my puppy is a poodle mix and her heart rate always seems fast to me...the vet says it's normal

yea it's always best to get a thing going with your vet check ups, shots etc. Gets the pet used to going there too. My vet will also keep my toy if I have to go outa town.

I'd recommend you ask her breeder about the heartrate.

If the shaking is new, I'd recommend you take your dog to the vet.
