I'm tired of always putting my hair up in a bun every morning, and want something new. I have rather thick and unruly hair, would it be possibly to get something like the girl with the belt on has in this: http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/500/344876.jpg . Does anyone have any idea how much it could possibly cost, or whether it's possible to do it yourself?

Well, first you'd have to get your hair cut.

Try This:
-side bangs
-layers

Thats pretty much all aly's (the girl in the picture) hair is.

Now a way to get your hair wavy like hers.

1) when your hair is wet, use
-Phyto Phytodefrisant found at Sephora. This stuff works like a charm. It's amazing on my hair which it pretty thick and kinda wavy.
-Sebastian- "Wet"- found at CVS or other drugstores. Use this to creat some wave. Kinda scrunch some parts of your hair to give it a messy look.

2)Blow dry your hair with a difusser so that your hair doesn't blow around and get all messed up.

3) Once your hair is dry, use this:
- -Bed Head- After Party found pretty much anywhere. This will smooth out your hair and give it a sleeker look. (It's in a pink bottle- to help you out)

Now I really hope this works for you! If you need to, try straightening your hair like if it's too big or something.

Hope I helped!! =]

hey! im ashley your advice columist 4 2day. I used to always wear my hair in a bun and trust me it sucks. Well, that girl with the belt ( Allison Michalka )'s hair is all natural. Its sort of impossible to get exactly that way. So me and my team, ( me and my bff Nina ) have took our time and looked for some cute, afforadable hairstyles for you.We found this one that was so cute and we know how to do it. with your type of hair, you need to condition it. Here's what you need to do... EVERY WEEK ( mayb like Sunday night ) Do not wash your hair, Blow dry it out and take some conditioning spray and moose and spread it throught your hair.... then, blow dry again.... to make it eye appealing, add a cute headband like the one i will show you... during the week, to do different things, put only the bottom half to a ponytail on the side. add some small earings like the ones im going 2 show ya. there yago! add me best answerer!!! mwahhh

Call a hair salon and tell them what your hair is like and a slight description of how you wish to cut it if possible. It they this it can be done ask them the price. Or to make things a bit simpler go to a hair place with the picture printed off of the Internet. Good luck!
P.S. She has a really cute hair style!!!!
P.P.S. You could also have your hair thined out I know a girl who did that and her hair is no longer frizzy:)

I've done this to my hair before. If you have that length of hair I would just use some volumizing spray in your hair after you shower and then just kinda scrunch it, and let it air dry a little. Then get some frizz ease to make sure it doesn't get really frizzy (I have really thick hair and mine does), then get a diffuser on the end of your blow dryer, and dry away!!!

You could probably do it yourself, but I would go to a salon and show them the picture. Have them style it on you and pay close attention to what they do to your hair and ask for tips. That's probably the best way! Great hairstyle too! :-) Good luck!
