So, I keep seeing atheists(or sometimes they may be buddhist or hindu) asking about the "Christian's God" do they not know that Jews, Muslims, and Christians ALL believe in the same God, just that He said different stuff??
Hmmm guess they're not all very logical or free thinking like they claim...

Eleventy, the Christians are nothing but Jews who accepted Jesus...the Muslims said the God of Abraham is their God.
We all believe Abraham was the first prophet of God....that's how we know it's the same one...
But which religion is right is QUITE a differen't question.

Well, you're sort of right. Muslims think Allah is the same as the Jewish god and the Christian god. Christians think their god is the same as the Jewish god. Jews think their god is god. Obviously, if they all think their god said "different stuff," then they don't all worship the same god
Guess you're not as logical as you seem to think.
No, it really doesn't work, because the three groups do not all think they worship the same god, so how can you say they do? The Jews and Christians do not think they worship Allah, the Jews and Muslims don't worship Christ or the Holy Ghost as part of or aspects of god. Just because each successive group laid claim to the prior's god and said that their god was the same doesn't make it so. If it were true, they'd be the same religion, following the same rules. I wish I could be more amazed that you don't understand this.

I know that, but it's only Christians who try to convert others or continuously bring up religion in public. Who put "under God" in the pledge? Christians. Who put "In God We Trust" on the dollar bills? Christians. Jews or Muslims don't go out of their way to do this crap, because converting isn't a part of their beliefs.
So, who do atheists complain about? Christians.

Is Zeus the same god as Odin?
Who gives a damn, thats like asking me if the hand up yoda's butt is the same one up kermit's. I don't especially care. The family tree of fictitious entities holds limited appeal.
However if a test was run I'm pretty sure you'd find that the atheists understood that Judaism and Islam were also Abrahamic faiths while only a minority of Christians understand that.

just because i dont know a lot about religion, doesnt mean i dont know anything or am not logical, or whatever you want to call it
ill admit that i did not know muslims had the same God as christians and jews. nor do i really care to be honest. if i want to call that god the christian god, then i dont really think it matters. afterall, he IS the christian god, even if he is also other religion's gods. if atheists dont believe in that god then does it really matter what religions he comes from other than christian?

Well, to an atheist, since no gods are real, it's the "god perception" that creates the identity, and each religion perceives its god differently.
Therefore, the Christians' god would be different than the Jews' god, which would be different than the Hindus' gods, etc.
Technically, the Calvinist god would be different than the Evangelical god, which is different still from the LDS gods, which are different from the Catholic god(s). In reality, since each person might perceive his god differently than every other person, for an atheist, there could be as many gods as there are people, and since none of them would exist, in theory, there's no sense in lumping any of them together, you know?
It's all just a difference in semantics, really.

Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe in the same god?? Really??
Here is ONE example - the trinity. Some christians believe in a polytheistic god, others monotheistic. Those are totally different things.

Uhh, huh.
So Muslims and Jews believe Jesus was god incarnate?
Muslims and Jews worship god as three parts?
Is god's name Jesus, YHWY, or Allah?
Was Muhammad a prophet of God?
I hoped you learned something today.

Uh...I don't think some Muslims would like that idea. Didn't YOUR God commit to the name Yahweh, and no other? Allah- Yahweh..Hmm..Also, similar characters, and events. But that doesn't make it the same story. There are dozens of 'gods' that share the EXACT same story as Jesus. Mithra and Horus, to name two. Yet they aren't considered Jesus, are they? Of course JEWS believe in the same God as you. That's why it's called the "Judeo-Christian God". No thanks are needed.

Jews and Christians may believe in the same God, but Muslims? No. The character of the Muslim "God" is opposite to that of the Jewish and Christian God.
