Because it is a bad idea from a health aspect.

You have to cook pork really well because it has been the longest domesticated food animal - the parasites and diseases that affect pigs have had a long time to adapt to infect humans too.

Eating human meat is going to be way worse. Any parasite or pathogen stands a high change of being passed on making the eater sick compared to his neighbor that only eats beef.

So the aversion to cannibalism is a successful meme, and so societies with this meme have developed over societies without it.

Well, despite the possible nutritional value that could be gained from a diet that included a healthy dose of homo sapien, I tend to think that would cause problems, such as kidnapping for breeding purposes and the opening of wholesale people farms, where people are bred simply as cheap labor and a source of food. I really don't think there's anyone out there that wants to be on the food side of this equation. Besides, can you imagine the psychological effects that could have on your society?

I really don't know. Cannibalism is a sacred practice in cultures the world over, but society today seems to have this huge stick up it's butt about it.

peternal means Soylent Green, he spelt it wrong.
Did you know some maori's ( native nzers and I have some maori blood in I ) used to be cannibalistic back in the old days?
Some English convicts who were sent to Australia used to be sent over to NZ to be eaten by them.
Lovely punishment :/

I have no idea what some people want to be cannibals because like that one answerer noted it is risky when it comes to diet and health.

Whose fussing? I think there'd only BE fussing if it happened alot.

Which I don't believe it does. Was your real question, "Why is it wrong?"

Mainly for health reasons. And because there's really no good way to cook human.

We're actually rather bony...

Hoofed, grain-eaters taste best...

Unless eaten live, we're full of disease. Perhaps we could make a good soup!

With the exception of perhaps sharks, vultures & worms, most animals avoid eating us, after we've deceased...
