Cheir, interesting question. That really is my point. Whether it is true or not depends on the claims of man. So to doubt the bible means only to doubt the claims of man.

parkituse, there was another question. What is your support? I understand the scripture quote, but that is just a claim of man, correct? Faith then is just the same as a guess as to which man actually got it right (if any indeed did). Isn't that a really weak faith?

Boy, jus as I suspected. The book of man is true because it says it is. earth angel, jesus never wrote anything that did not blow away in the dust. You have no idea whether what is recorded was actually said by jesus. We only have man's claims.

Eric E, none of those other books you mention make any claim about god and it being the only way to heaven. I know it is a subtle distinction.

The Bible is literally written by human beings as inspired by God. These people knew they encountered God because they were eyewitnesses to the fact. The Jewish people wouldn't exist if not for all the supernatural manifestations that brought them out of Egypt. Man wrote what God spoke.
The inspired books were chosen for inclusion. After all, the people that God called to be His church are in the best position to know what their books are. Just like today, if we were choosing history text books, we would choose not to include lyrics off of Britney Speare's latest album, and we would probably exclude Spider man comic books. Why? Because they aren't worthy of inclusion, anymore than the books not included in the Bible were.
The Bible was written down. The verses and chapters were added later so we could find things. They aren't inspired, but whoever said they were?
The claim of divine inspiration is backed up by credible authors, eyewitness corroboration, and God Himself as He came in the person of Jesus Christ and validated all the Scriptures.

The first thing I see when I look at most bibles is " King James Edition " This literally means that the Holy Bible was approved by the court of King James. I am no athiest. I am spiritual, but not very religous. I believe organized religion is a way to control the population.

particularly, you would be able to desire to verify some clinical journals before you open your mouth approximately something you have not have been given any theory approximately. You pay attention to Al Gore who isn't a scientist argue clinical principals. I fall exceedingly some distance to the left on maximum subject concerns, yet i additionally am a biologist. The junk technology you talk of isn't junk, atleast it fairly is truer than the undesirable risks of 2nd-hand smoke (now this is a few authentic bs). The ignorant one i think of as a effect may well be the guy who posts a biased query on yahoo solutions via fact they made up their suggestions before even studying the priority. right here is an theory, learn whats happening before you're making a desion next time chum. base line is greenhouse gasses are actually not as risky as you think of. there replaced right into a element in background whilst greenhouse gasses have been plenty larger than what they are actually and the earths temperatue replaced into various tiers less warm.

Oh,my God. You have a really great point, the Bible was written by man so it must all be lies. Most people that believe in the Bible, believe it is pretty much a history book. All the history books I've used were written by man also, so I guess they are all lies too. Science books were also written by man. Holy ****, all these books written by man, it's getting really hard to tell what you can believe and what you can't anymore. Forget it, I'm gonna go read what I know to be true, The National Enquirer.

Chaos and Perfection, both included. Jesus' true teachings, and mans interpretation. That is how everything in this world ends up, tainted with chaos. That is why one has to take what is useful to one's self and throw the rest away. In order to make the image, the sculptor has to chip away the useless marble.

The complete infallibility of the Bible sets it apart from any other "man-made" work in history. I find its prophetic accuracy to be its best evidence for divine inspiration.
