That was a 1960s era folk-saying, it wasn't from the Bible! There is some truth to it, but it doesn't mean things are going to magically work out while you sit back and reap happy thoughts all day. Relationships, even good ones, are the result of hard, continuous work...just like lawns. Some folks have a yard full of lush, immaculate, well-tended grass and flowers; other folks have a yard full of weeds. Guess who did the work, and guess who didn't?
