wouldnt life be easier if everyone told the truth in realtionships. Why does everyone think they have to find a way to let them down gently? It take less time to tell the truth and for them to get over it, than to find a way to let some one down gently. I personaly have wasted probably months maybe a total of a year going after girls to find out that they dont feel the same. Then when they do tell me the reason i get mad is that i have wasted my time on nothing.

If there is trust, there is truth. I trust my boyfriend, and we're both mature enough to tell the truth when something is wrong. Without that respect, you can't do what you're asking.
Besides, I think it wouldn't be good for society if a guy asked a girl out and her reply, "No way, you're the most disgusting thing I've ever seen, and I hope you rot." If your self-esteem wasn't rock bottom before, it would be after that.
