I also find it strange that they try to convert others, but don't like the same thing happening to them.

I think I can answer that, First of all, he's not non-existent otherwise no one would know about him, neither would anyone believe in him. Do you believe in the big bang? How can such beautiful things on earth be created through destruction, a bang, or an explosion? Why are there so many witnesses of Jesus who wrote things about him? Do you think that so many people would choose to be christian if there was no reason why? The only reason is that God has proved to us through many ways that he exists. You may think I'm crazy, but through prophets, God has re veiled many things to me way before they happen, and then when they do happen I remember that I was told before it happened that it would occur. God promises things through prophets too, and for the most part, these things happen faster than you think and when you least expect it. The reason most Christians can't explain clearly why they believe is because there's no description of God, no one has seen him face to face, in order to experience things with God, you have to believe in him. Also, ask someone whose been christian for a while and freely speaks of God why they believe in him, and they'll clearly explain why.

Honey, there just isn't enough space to list why I believe in God. Fist of all I have experienced the drawing of the Holy Spirit which is something that I know you will not understand so I won't go into details there. God didn't call us to a blind belief. I for one know why I believe. God is real to me and I feel His presence. Too bad you don't. You're missin' out.
From the Old Testament alone, more than 2000 specific prophesies have been fulfilled.
No other so called Holy book compares.Most of the 333 prophesies concerning the Messiah were fulfilled by the birth and life of Jesus Christ and the rest will be fulfilled at His second coming. A mathematician, Peter Stoner, had his graduate students calculate what the odds would be of any one person fulfilling just eight of these prophesies. He found the chance was one in 100,000,000,000,000,000 !Only a God who knows the future could have revealed these prophesies to those that He would have record them in His Word.

In spite of what is being taught today, the truth is we can reconstruct most of the life of Jesus Christ through non - Christian writers of the first century. Even Celsus who despised Christianity, never considered claiming that Jesus Christ did not exist.This is what can be learned from the writing of Celsus...

He was born of a virgin in a small village of Judea;
He was adored by wise men;
His birth was followed by the slaughter of infants by order of Herod;
He took flight to Egypt, where Celsus supposed Christ learned the charms of the Magicians;
After returning, He resided in Nazareth;He was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended on Him as a voice was heard from heaven;
He elected disciples;
He was a friend with publicans and other low people;
He cured the lame and blind;
He raised people from the dead;
He was betrayed by Judas;
He was denied by Peter;
In addition Celsus refers to several details of Christ's passion, crucifiction, and resurrection.

Twenty seven books of the New Testament, nineteen Pagan writers, and three Jewish writers testify to Jesus Christ's historical reality. When I hear people say that Jesus or the Bible is just a myth I just realise that they are simply unaware of the facts.I recommend The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel and or Skeptics Answered or The Gate Of Hell Shall Not Prevail by D. James Kennedy, and The Signature of God by Grant R. Jeffrey. May all your thoughts be taken captive by the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Well let's think about this one... hmm.... maybe because they don't believe that He's non-existent.

What I find strange is how people can really look at the world around us... how it works with all the bugs and trees and people and how if one thing was thrown off we would all die and NOT believe that there is a God. Its just too complex and too detailed for there not to be.

Why is it so hard for people who don't believe in GOD to back that up in any real form?

I find it strange that you insult others for their belief in a God that you can't prove doesn't exist anymore than we can prove he does. If you don't want to believe, don't, but don't criticize me for believing. I won't believe once you can prove to me without a doubt, unequivocally that there is no God. Now, you can list all kinds of links, and other places where people have all kinds of "proof" that God doesn't exist, but I'm sure many Christians here can give you counterpoints to your "proof" trying to prove God does exist. Neither can prove anything. It all goes on faith and what you are willing--or not willing--to believe.

Christians can't answer that! So are you insinuating that Buddhists and Muslims, and all the other religions can answer why they believe in a non-existant god... Oh, those Christians, they are so dumb!!

How did you prove that God does not exist? I missed that part.

1. Please do everyone a favour and produce 1 piece -just 1 simple piece- of concrete evidence which proves without a doubt there is no God.
2. Why do people continue to deny there is a God when no one can prove there is no God?
3. I believe in God because He first believed in and loved me
4. What is really strange is that people such as you accuse Christians of intolerance towards other religions and insist we do tolerate other religions, while simultaneously you display nothing but intolerance towards Christianity

I can't answer why I believe in a non-existent god because I don't believe in any of them. I believe in the God who is the true God. The one who has given us His Word in written form and confirmed it with many verifiable miracles and prophecies, something that no other "religious" book attempts to do.

Jesus said, "A wicked and perverse generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given it but the sign of the Prophet Jonah, for as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

You want God to prove to you that He exists? There it is, a fulfilled prophecy of Jesus Himself, about Himself. He said that's all you're getting, so check it out thoroughly before you make your final decision. Everything is riding on this one decision, don't take it lightly.

You can choose to believe or not, that's your choice.

Jesus said, "You are for Me or against Me." There is no neutral ground. To not make a choice is to make a choice and a decision to not decide places you in the enemy's camp the same as outright rejection of Him.

God loves you.

Why do you care so much if a christian believes in God? If you don't believe in God, fine! Go about your own business...quit worrying about why christians can or can't tell you why they believe in a "non-existant" God. Obviously, you don't believe in God, so why do you care so much about christians and their beliefs? I find that strange.

I do NOT believe in a non-existant (sic) God. Evidences have indicated to me His existence. Each of us must be intellectually honest with the conclusions of his or her own studies and information gathering. I hope you can learn to be as intellectually honest and open as am I, rather than just using this forum to cast aspersions at those who disagree with you.

You would make a better evangelist for your views if you could constrain yourself into politeness. If you cannot, then you must expect some sharp responses from time to time.
