I had just reprogrammed by windows 98 computer to a windows xp professional. I guess my computer is running really slow and doesn't have much ram for xp and I want to change it back to windows 98. But when I insert my Windows 98 system recovery disk and it says something about an FDISK program. I have no clue about this. This has never happened to me before. Help!

Fdisk is on the Win98 CD under the Command Directory. If you cannot get it to run, download it from some place like Download .com. You will need to run it before you can releasty our computer from XP's hold.

FDISK means format disk. Before you change back to Win 98 make sure you have the win 98 CD and product key. All the motherboard drivers and driver CD for all your other hardware. If you don't then, take time to download them from the manufacters website before you begin. You can also check the internet for a win 98 FDISK program, you can put it on a floppy.

Do not go back to 98 it is unsupported by Microsoft meaning they don't patch security holes in it. I advice you to upgrade your ram, or buy a new PC with Vista and 2gbs of Ram.
