How do you cope with death of people you love? I'm not seeking any arguments. i am just interested in how different people cope with a hard fact of life.

ndmagicman: how would it be that a believer would fear death since a lot believe they will go to heaven anyway?

Death is the eventual end for us all. I've lost many members of my family through nature and some unnatural means. I've been sad and I miss them but I have accepted the loss as a normal event in life. Death is nothing to fear. I was with my mother and father at the moment of their deaths and I saw nothing to fear. As an atheist I do not buy into the whole religious world view of death as something fearful and dreaded.

I rely on God and TRY to always remember His Word, This too shall pass. It's hard dealing with a death. When my husband died at the age of 25 I turned my back on God, and had no Relief until I repented and turned back to him. He is a loving and a forgiving God. That has truly been the only comfort I could find. I tried drugs and that was a complete dead end, and it took me 9 years to realize what worked for me and that is A TRUSTING, MIGHTY, LOVING GOD.

You cry and eventually go numb. You remember them and relive the good times. Then you get on with life, because death comes to everyone and there's too much to do to sit around waiting for it.
