dont worry about being mean because it will hurt for him worse if you let this continue because thats false hope just tell him straight up that you dont like him like that and you just want to be friends or not friends at all just tell him you feel uncomfortable with him being all close to you and ask him please to stop hope i helped a little!

It won't be easy. Turning him down will hurt him no matter what you say or how you say it. I've been there....sometimes you just have to be a little mean. Tell him you're sorry and you don't mind being friends, but he needs to back off. tell him you need your personal space and you don't want him all over you and hugging you like he does. It obviously makes you uncomfortable and he needs to know that. If he likes you enough he will understand and back off. If he still keeps acting freaky...then he has issues and you need to tell him straight up to leave you alone. I had a couple guys be that way to me. They were good guys but they were too aggressive and touchy and weird. I didn't want to, but I had to tell them like it is eventually. Even try getting a boyfriend. Maybe he will back off if you're taken. Good luck with this.

i had a situation like that. i was his friend at first.. then i started picking him up like everyday and it was over a 20 minute drive TO him.. then 20 minutes back. got annoying..and he wouldn't pay for gas when i asked.. so... i started to ignore him.. then i played with his head..went along with everything.. and well.... he got the point.. but got really bitchy to me.. blew up basically.. when he called me (the bitchiness was left in a couple of IMs from him)... I told him I don't want to ever speak to him again. He gave up. I don't know how to do it without being mean.. Just tell him gently like some others said.. ask if you can be friends.... but my guy just wouldn't back away.. he kept on and on.

Tell him how you truly feel. Let him know that you are don't want to be with him in that aspect but maybe as friends. But definitely stop the hugging. Its getting you into that boyfriend/girlfriend only thing and you clearly don't want that. Tell him in the most simplest and kindest way.

slowly stop talking to him. just say hi and goodbye and walk away. just say "oh! the bus is here! got to go!" OR u can explain it to him how u feel. if he was really a great guy, then he should understand that u don't like him like that and know that u wernt being mean about it and he would know to back off

If you try to be nice to him, he'll never get the hint. Just tell him "Look, I'm not that into you. Please give me some space." It's going to hurt his feelings, but it's going to be unambiguous enough that he will leave you alone. You've gotta man up and do it. That's much nicer than stringing him along under his misconception.

your gonna have to sit him down away from others and explain to him how you feel about the hugging, that way he don't get embarrased. you will need to be firm with him and to the point. that way you give him the wrong impression.

Just tell him straight up that you don't like him like that. But you would be friend to him, only if he'll back off otherwise tell him to leave you alone.....
