Iran has agreed to let Israel help it identify Iranian victims of Sunday's plane crash in Thailand.
Iran refused the offer of aid from Israel when an earthquake claimed tens of thousands of lives in Iran in 2003 - but now Iran has said yes to Israel's offer of assistance.
SAFDAR SHAFIEE from the Iranian embassy in Bangkok has met with YAKI OVED, the Israeli police representative in Phuket. The pair shook hands.
So despite Iran repeatedly vowing to destroy the Jewish state, Israel is doing the decent thing; do you think it will make a difference to the problems between Iran and Israel? Will Iran now stop demonizing Israel?

EU CITIZEN - I watched an interview with the Iranian leader (I can never spell his name!) the other day and, unless his interpreter was making trouble, he was again issuing threats against Israel. I don't think we can doubt that this man does hate Israel!

The Iranian people are fine. For a part, the Iranian government is fine. The Iranian president is not. The Iranian Guardians are not. They are hate-filled nuts. Iran will never stop demonizing Israel as long as this president is in power.

I heard that too, of course Israel helps anyone that ask for its help,
the Iranian doctors asked the Israeli doctors to help them with their equipment to identify bodies, so sad that cooperation can only be made in times of grieve when everyone realizes that our life is limited, but what can I do, people seldomly listen otherwise.
anyways it doesn't surprise me at all, I'm used to see Israel's good and its the basic nature of the Israeli state, I believe Israel has a high morallity then most states, but I also recognize that Iranian people are wiser than their own government and many muslims are wise and experts and excellent people and that is why they agreed to get the help from Israel, and I believe in the very far future I will be able to visit peaceful Iran and meet regular non-extremist muslims and chat and laugh with them, but that will only happen if the straight open minded people keep what they are doing.
and mimi is right they have a new tv series, by far the people are smarter then their leaders, oh well I believe in the people of Iran.
and may none of us need to identify anymore dead people by accidents/wars ever again.
Peace to all

I don't know. I hope it will make a positive difference. Iran also made a new movie about a Muslim man who loves a Jewish woman. The movie is romantic and it talks about the difficulties those two lovers faced due to the cultural problems and political issues. The message of this Iranian movie was to tell the Israelis that the problem is not with the Jews as a religion followers but as zionists who have caused a lot of problems to the Muslims and the Arabs.

Despite a country of limited resources, Israel helps all it can. This is what the media never sees. Israel is lambasted and demonized as an evil devil or whatever the F, but the fact remains that Israel has helped in earthquakes( for eg in Turkey, etc), fires (like Greece a couple weeks back), tsunamis (the big one of 05), and other disasters (such as terror attacks, etc) worldwide.
Iran needs Israel now. Israel is one of the world's most high tech countries in the world, and despite the hatred towards the Jews, Iran needs Israel's first class forensic teams.
Why? Shall we dig deeper? Yes, lets. Ahmadinejad is coming to the UN and to Columbia U. The acceptance of Israeli assistance, is meant to downplay and keep the US off his back, and show he is making steps towards "peace"

Yes. When it comes to humanitarian needs, Israel is almost always first in line to help out, no matter who the victims are. Remember that tsunami a few years ago? Israel offered aid to every country affected. Some of the more extreme ones refused it, so Israel helped those who wanted it.

No, they're trying to thaw relations. If Israel and Iran start a aerial war, thousands would die across the Middle East

Perhaps, many Iranian people long for peace with other countries such as Israel and the US. However, the decision is not they to make, but their government who is, unfortunately, stubborn.

The news is true regarding the Iranian officer asking for Israeli help.
But nobody said it was an official request; maybe just a personal one. We also don't know what has happened to the person. maybe he already smells the flowers from the other side

Vowing to destroy the jewish state? He said Isael must be wiped from the pages of time, its an idiom that doesnt exist in english.
Naturally it was miss translated.
Although i think the Iranian President has made threats to Israel, i think they are much less substantial then people make them out to be, thanks to the media.
Im not saying the media is pro israel or anti israel all im saying is the media loves to sensationalize whatever they can get there hands on that happens to be the flavour of the month. Whateve rthey can get there hands on. They are like Dogs.
