When there is a will, there is a way.
How about replacing this addiction with a healthier one...like exercise?
Till now, thats the only thing proven about giving up any habbit. you give up one, you gain another...might as well be healthier this time, huh?

I quit smoking cold turkey, no problem, BUT Copenhagen was a nightmare. I had tried several times over the years without luck. My dentist scared me by saying I may need a biopsy of my lip cause something looked suspicious. I threw away my can and bought a roll of MINT Snuff. I was able to use mint for about 2 months until I could tapper off and go without something in my lip. Here is a link to Oregon Mint Snuff.

The patches seem to help alot of people at work. Or, the nicotine gum. And several people have tried hypnosis and acupuncture. You just have to find something that might work along with some will power. Get healthy! Good luck.

As far as quiting tobacco products, my insurance company paid for two months worth of Zyban, aka Welbutrin, and quiting was quite easy for me,however, this treatment only works in about 52% of all cases. That was in 1998 and I haven't returned to smoking yet. Food tastes better, exercising is easier, and I'm, saving tons of money at today's prices.
Best of luck, and I hope this will work for you.

Get on the patch. It's expensive, but in the long run you will be better. Gum or other sweets (Jolly Ranchers) are good to fight the oral fixation.
Good luck!
